  1. shortcut to Do not disturb

Hope there's a shortcut to switch to Do not disturb mode very quickly. This can save people's career life.

  4. Message Bubbles

It would be very nice if I could not even have Teams open and just have my most used chats as a permanent, movable bubble on my screen.

The idea is to increase work-space efficiency.

  7. BUG: Teams non-responsive while downloading

While downloading a file from a Chat window Teams goes non-responsive. Should be async task and not block UI.

  10. ALLOW ME TO EXPORT A CONVERSATION!!!! PLEASE. PRETTY PLEASE.

selecting the contents of a convo (ctrl C) leaves off tons of selected text. Pasting it into a doc is a total joke, and it's on your product. Comon. This is basic functionality. Take your bots and whatnot and put them aside to provide an OUNCE of usability for this simple use case. Below is a snippet showing repeated lines and senseless lines like "Profile picture of Andy". So sloppy. It reflects your lack of attention to real use cases as opposed to ones that 1% of your users leverage.

    cool, by Matt.

  11. Desktop is awful

Desktop is glitchy slow and just plain not fun or nice to use. I removed it from my comp and use the app. The app is way more functional. I don’t understand why developers focus so much perfection on apps for mobile devices but when it comes to pc’s nothing ever works.

  12. More apps desktop

    Expand desktop apps tabs.

In the desktop toolbar (left) there is 5 default apps, and a 'More Apps' ellipsis.

This is followed by heaps of whitespace below the ellipsis. The extra apps (or at least user configurable) should be put in here too.

This is particularly useful for planner, as you may be in multiple teams/boards but you want to look at your assigned tasks, to do this currently you need to do at least two clicks.

It's not the end of the world, but it is annoying.

  13. be able to disable graphics hardware acceleration

Some laptop docking stations have graphics adapters that don't work well with some apps: disabling the hardware acceleration usually solves this. The Teams aop needs to support this as well - or if it does, make the settings much easier to find.

  14. Add access to outlook emails this way all Microsoft functions and all in one place

I believe that the user interface could benefit greatly from having access to Microsoft outlook that way I could perform the following all in one place:

    - Discuss items in my teams
    - Add meetings to my outlook calendar
    - Add to-do's as per my task list in Asana
the follow on benefits of the above; and
    - be able to send out emails based on the chat/to do's that have been communicated

  16. Restart to Reconnect on Startup

My Surface Pro 4 usually starts up before an Internet connection can be established. We're talking a matter of seconds, here. If Teams manages to start up before the Internet connection is established, I am asked to restart the application. Since it starts up in the system tray, I might not notice this for several hours. This seems like it could be easily avoided.

  17. Teams app screen position

When using multiple screens, Teams will sometimes "snap" off the viewable screen, where I am unable to move or see the window.

Closing and reopening the app via Task Manager does not fix it.

The only workaround is by going to a single screen and then it "snaps back" into the viewable area.

  18. macOS native keyboard shortcut is overridden

macOS has its native keyboard shortcuts that are helpful for text editing. However, some of them doesn't work on Microsoft Teams.

    * Control-A: Move to the beginning of the line or paragraph.
    - DOESN'T work. Instead, all texts are selected (the same as Command-A)
    * Control-B: Move one character backward.
    - DOESN'T work. Instead, selected texts become bold (the same as Command-B)

Control-A is quite important for me because it is the very common shortcut in Linux/Unix environments. Refer "Moving faster" section on this link for the details.

For all native keyboard shortcuts on macOS, please refer the following…

  19. There needs to be an alert to indicate new items added.

Within the desktop version, there is no indication that new items have been added to review... or new comments

The only communication is via email this would really improve the usage of teams

  20. Consolidate Headers

Get rid of the additional header when viewing a file (pdf, excel, word) and not editing. This hogs a ton of screen space, even in the 'expanded tab' view and does not add any value to the experience.

    Screenshot for clarification.
