  1. Merge two conference calls/meetings into one

Usually when we dial into a conference call meeting, it requires us to input extension number, meeting room numbers or etc. So when I want to combine two meeting into one, I can merge calls in Skype for Business, but cannot find the same feature in Teams. Is there any roadmap to add this feature back to Teams?

  2. Link audio conferencing to video session via Participant ID

Every other web conferencing solution I've used has had the feature that displays a "Participant ID" on the screen when joining the meeting, which you can then enter via keypad on your phone when you call into the audio conferencing line. This links your audio and video session together so the system knows that you are a single person, instead of two different users.

The feature should be available in both the desktop client and the web client.

  3. Move the ring back from the desktop speakers to the the headset

When calling another Teams user the "Skypish" ring back comes out thru the desktop speakers and not the headset. I typically run my desktop muted and it is annoying there is no ring back in that case. Even with the speakers on it's annoying that the ring back could disturb a coworker.

  4. mute

Add the mute participant option to their icon on the main meeting screen. The mute feature is available under the participant icon, but it would be helpful to find the person right on the main screen. With large groups of people in the meeting, it would be helpful to have the mute option right on the screen for the person who is creating too much background noise or feedback vs scrolling through the list of people in the participant window.

  5. Display Chat Window While in a Call

Regularly I get into a call with someone & then have the need to send items via that chat.

Instead of displaying the call window in full screen, it would be great to have that minimized & display the chat similar to Skype for Business.

  6. Keep the Mute/Audio icon visible onscreen when on a call.

How many times have you been on a call, and someone has to say. "Joe, are you talking with your mute on?" What if you could always see the current "mute" status when you're on a call so you can avoid this common problem.

  7. Consult Transfer (aka Warm Transfer) Call

Allow users to do a consult transfer or a warm transfer. This could be accomplished two ways:
    1. Put the caller on hold and give an option for a "Consult" button as in Skype for Business where you "call ahead" and make sure the person is ready. Could give second option for chat or call.
    2. Add a conferencing feature that brings a third party into an active call. Allow the second party to leave the call without ending the call for the other parties.

This would allow for a better customer service experience. Option two would also fulfill the…

For Video conferencing having a virtual background. I see the blurred background option but other providers such as Zoom have a virtual background

  11. Enable sharing system sounds during screen-sharing

We've been using Skype so far to review projects internally, and liked to have the option to share system sounds while screen-sharing (some of our projects are videos with voiceovers).

Would it be possible to add the same functionality in Teams?

  12. Turn off secondary ringer for outgoing calls

When placing an outgoing call my secondary ringer alerts. That is the equivalent of placing a call from an analog wall phone and it giving ringback on the earpiece and the external bell. I like the external ringer for incoming calls but really hate it for outgoing calls so I end up turning it off altogether.

  13. multiple phone numbers

It would be nice to be able to assign more than one user number to a single user. Call qeues are not always a suited solution. E.g. if the user needs to dial out with different numbers.

  14. show call time

    Hello,

in teams it is not possible to see how long the call duration was. (after hanging up the connection) IN skype and skype for business this is. Is it possible to add a log line of the duration of the call.
Second request: Is it possible to add a log line that a person has called and the date and timestamp to it. Now this is visable in the activity log but without the time stamp.

  15. Select Webcam in Settings

Using the settings button while on a web-call appears to have the option to choose which webcam you would like to use, but not all webcams show up from the drop down list (only one appears). Users should be able to select the webcam they want to use for the call in the settings.

  17. Calls - Big Green button to answer calls

Change the UI for call so the when receiving a call, the button are more like a mobile phone UI. At present, the only button that is coloured is the 'hang up' option. People inadvertently hang up as they click the only but that 'pops' is red. They then have to ring back because they've hung up.

  18. Call transfer to contact's mobile number without having to manually type it in.

Currently in Teams (with a calling plan license) you can click on contacts and then click on the person's mobile number to initiate a call. very quickly.

However, when you are on a call and want to transfer to that contact, it defaults to calling them on the Teams app. Not everyone will have the ability to properly answer a Teams voice call. So if you want to transfer them to their mobile number, you need to manually type it in which is a real pain. Imagine a receptionist having to always transfer calls by typing in their number manually.

  19. Support calls on Chromium and Firefox

Teams calls in the web app support Chrome but not Chromium--why?

Please add support for joining calls from Chromium and Firefox browsers.

  20. Option to disable auto tracking an video calls

Being tracked automatically is great when using a static webcam. However, when using a camera which has its own auto tracking/framing built in it would be preferable to let the camera solution perform the auto tracking and therefore be able to disable the Teams feature.

Using such a camera currently with Teams means the camera auto tracks a person but often the Teams client then tracks within the camera image - its not a good experience and is unnecessary when you have an adequate camera to provide the tracking. I've seen this issue with Polycom Studio.
