Skype integration (Consumer Federation)
It would be nice to integrate public Skype (not Skype for Business) into Teams. I am able to chat with Skype for business users within my organization but when working with external clients I still have to go back to public Skype. If I could even just simply chat and call with Skype users as well that would allow me to use Teams as my sole communication platform.

Allow service numbers from a SIP trunk via Teams Direct Routing
Could you please add support for service numbers (usable with auto attendant or call queues) that come from a SIP trunk connected via Direct Routing? It doesn't make sense to support BYOT with Teams Direct Routing but not having the possibility to use the numbers on the SIP trunk as service numbers for an auto attendant or a call queue.

Show more than 4 active people in video calls
Teams is limited to showing 4 video streams at a time, it would be better if we had some control over that. We do a morning standup every morning with 8 remotes, it would be great if we could see them at all times.

Audio call recording in Teams
How about recording an audio call when initiating a Teams call, similar to how Skype for Business does ?

Call Contact's Work or Cell phone
When I click the call button on a contact, Teams automatically begins a teams/skype call to the user. It should offer options to call the user's phone numbers (work/cell/other) or to make a skype/teams call, similar to the drop down menu offered by skype for business.

Audio conferencing not letting attendees into the teams meeting Unless they are authenticated by the Teams app
We have been experiencing a bit of a problem since last week and honestly at this point I am not really sure whether it has to do with some of the new teams policy features in teams or it is actually a tech. problem.
Basically as of last week when a user creates a meeting (with dialins) in the Teams addon in Outlook and he/she tries to join the meeting as the meeting host via phone the other invitees are just stuck in the lobby forever, as if the host never joined.
On the other hand, when the host joins…
125 votesHi There – First of all, we are so sorry that you are experiencing this issue. The engineering team is investigating and some information from users experiencing this would be super helpful.
If you are willing, can you please send the following to teamsml@microsoft.com?
1) How the meeting was scheduled – thru Outlook or Teams app
2) The join link + dial-in # shown in the meeting invitation
3) What time the issue occurred, and repro steps
4) Actual & expected resultsHopefully we can get to the bottom of this quickly. Thanks so much!

Lock the Video Spotlight
In Skype for Business hosted meetings, there is a feature called "Lock the Video Spotlight" that allows you to choose a video feed that's displayed to all participants. This feature does not appear to be in the Teams client today, and it doesn't appear on the Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams Capabilities Roadmap.
In some Teams meetings I want all my participants to just view one presenters video stream and not have the 4 participant split view. We need a way for the Teams meeting host to force their video to be prominent from the participants view.

Include call history in chat
Am I the only one finding it painfull that the chat history DOES NOT include call logs?
I want to be able to reconstruct to whom I talked how long. As a workaround I started to use Skype again or quit the Teams calls and call back the people by phone.
In Skype this feature helped me a lot when I tried to reconstruct to whom i spoke on days where things became crowded.
Please implement that feature asap!

Have video OFF by default in a team call.
Should have to opt IN to turning on video for a team call. It seems to be this way (off by default) for a video in CHAT, just not in a TEAM call.

Wide-angle web cams are cropped
We have a wide angle webcam for our conference room. When we have more than 1 person join a meeting, it crops the video feed of our conference room. Microsoft Teams recognizes the wide angle aspect ratio just fine but crops it based on how many other users join the meeting. Either the right or left side of the video is cut off depending on which position the video is placed in the meeting screen.
Having a setting to maintain aspect ratio would be really helpful. We are loosing video of people who are presenting if they aren't in the…

Query contact name for incoming PSTN calls from Exchange adressbook and other sources
Today, Teams displays the number of the caller for incoming calls from PSTN. Teams does not display the name of the caller. So I dont know who is calling.
Would be great, if Teams queried the number in my/company Exchange adressbook (and other contact databases, like CRM) and displayed the name of the caller instead of the number.

Need to be able to search/call Outlook contacts' phone numbers without leaving Teams
The biggest obstacle and user complaint we have when rolling out Teams is that users cannot search for their Outlook contacts to call like they could in Skype For Business. Instead, they have to open Outlook and reference the contact's phone number which is inefficient & clumsy. It goes against everything else Teams does well in in terms of consolidating apps/interfaces. Users should be able to search for and call their outlook contacts via PSTN without having to leave Teams.
Skype for Business is still a much more streamlined design for external PSTN calling because users cannot find and dial…

Add better support for full room cameras
We use this camera in our conference room: https://www.owllabs.com/. It is designed to show a 360 degree view and also focus on the speaker(s). When Teams does its own resizing of the video, it often cuts off portions of the view from this camera. It would be nice to force teams to always show the full perspective from this camera (even if it is resized smaller). It would also be nice to set this as a "primary" camera in the meeting, so that it is not resized smaller.

Transfer to voicemail option
In Skype for Business and most other phone systems, you can select to transfer a caller directly to voicemail (receptionists use this all the time). Teams does not have this option. It is very important for folks to not transfer to a ring-ring-ring experience if they simply need to leave a voicemail.

undocking video window
allow for the small video window in the top left to undock for multimonitor support. If I want to chat, or make updates, but I also want to see someone elses screen, or video in a large picture, it would be very helpful.

Skype Room System + Teams doesn't provide dial pad once a call is connected
Using a Skype Room System with an E5 license allows you to initiate a telephone call either via Skype or via Teams. When using the Teams option, you can dial a telephone # but once connected the dial pad is no longer accessible. When dialing into a conference #, this is often required in order to enter a PIN or conference code. The Skype option allows this dial pad access after a call is connected.

Doesn't show Audio Call start, stop, and duration on Chat
For some reason Audio Calls stopped recording the start and stop times, as well as duration of the Audio Call, on the Chat window. There is no record whatsoever that we switched to Audio. I still run Windows 8, so maybe it's because you're trying to pull the plug on Windows 8? :)
51 votesThank you for the feedback.
Would you also be able to provide comments clarifying if this is Call History or Chat?
Thank you very much!
