Multi-window for chats and more
I want to have separate top-level windows for each person I'm chatting with, rather than tabs.
21,182 votesHooray! Multi-Window chat has been a long-awaited feature, and it is rolled out fully to the general public. Please be sure to “check for updates” and restart your client if you aren’t seeing it.

User customizable left navigation
The far left navigation panel seems to have a whole lot of blank space just calling out to be filled with things, and there is plenty of functionality within Teams that could be put there so users could reach it faster. That big gap between Files and Feedback is wasted space!
You should let individual users decide what goes in this space by giving them the ability to pin additional things they want there. I use the 'Saved' functionality a lot for example. It would be nice to have it out there only one click away. Perhaps I think a…
1,203 votesUsers can now pin their personal apps right where they can readily access them – on the Teams app bar. Simply find the app, right-click the icon, and select “pin”. Even after you navigate away, the app icon will remain so you can easily return to it. You can also customize your app bar further by dragging and dropping apps to your desired position, or unpinning apps.
This feature is in addition to the Teams Admin’s ability to establish tenant-wide policies for the apps that appear on everyone’s Teams app bar.

Customize Sidebar
I would really like the ability to choose which apps go in the sidebar. It just makes sense.
1,116 votesWe’ve added the ability to customize your left side bar. you can now rearrange and pin/unpin all of your apps. For more information, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/office/pin-an-app-for-easy-access-3045fd44-6604-4ba7-8ecc-1c0d525e89ec.

Right To Left Support
I hope that unlike every other Office product, we won't have to wait for years before decent Right to Left languages are supported.
Please add RTL by default!

Use cmd instead of alt/option for shortcuts (was @ in Mac application)
Did you noticed that using a Mac, when you try to write an @ doesn't work?It seems that ALT + 2 works as a shortcut and opens the chat window.

Enable "Enter key" in web tab
The Enter key opens a browser session outside Teams. Users expect Enter (specially in Web tabs) to execute the Enter command as expected in the context.
This will improve the usability of Teams due to the fact that users won't have to switch between teams and browser

Stop bugging me about downloading the desktop app as long as I'm on Linux and there isn't a client for it
I'm on Linux and my user agent reflects that. Please stop showing the annoying and misleading "Want an even faster, more collaborative experience? Download the desktop app." notification - as long as it isn't applicable to Linux.
Also dismissing it (by clicking X) only works till next login, which is also annoying.32 votes -
Free version of Teams or be condemned in small adoption rate.
Slack and even Discord grow because they are fresh, but also free. Especially Slack is free for up to 10 people. Which is great for small talented teams. And these are the people who adopt it fast.
15 votesTada! :) The free version of Teams is here!
You can read more about it at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams-Blog/Introducing-a-free-version-of-Microsoft-Teams/ba-p/214592
Thank you for your suggestions and feedback!

Clicking Close Stains Desktop
When you hover over the "X" to close out of teams, it displays the words "close" under the mouse cursor to let the user know what clicking the "X" will do. Pretty self-explanatory. The only issue, is if you click the "X" before the words "close" are displayed under the cursor, Teams will close, and then the words close will appear where the cursor was, but stay there. They stain the desktop, and regardless of which application you have open, the words close will cover the top right-hand corner of the screen. If you hover over the "X" and allow…

Allow Full Screen Options for Tabs
The ability to work in full screen on a specific tab. We are adding 'websites' as new tabs, and since these websites have left navigations and the teams have a left pane, it would be nice to work in full screen on a specific tab.
Also related to expanding/collapsing the left pane in the teams desktop10 votesJust click the icon in the upper right hand corner (when you’re inside your tab) that looks like two arrows pointing in opposite directions. This will expand your tab.

Provide refresh button for tab
Changes in tabbed resources do not always appear in a timely manner (e.g. new files added by a different user). A refresh button would force a refresh of the current view without resetting back to the starting point (as the reload button does).
9 votesThank you for this idea! We took your feedback and incorporated into the product. We added a refresh button at the top corner of the Files tab in each channel. You now have an easy way to check for new files or any other changes that might have happened since you last looked.
Thank you for helping us make Teams better and better! We look forward to more feedback and suggestions from you. :-)

Remove download Desktop ad for Teams on Chromebook
We are using teams in and educational setting. The problem for the students is that the ad to download the desktop application takes up so much space that on the main page when launching on a small scree device. The students can exit the ad but upon returning to teams the ad is back up front and center. This constant ad becomes a time management issue for students or students just leave it there and use the very tiny space left to work in teams.
3 votesThank you for the feedback. I am happy to let you know we have fixed this issue. Please email teamsml@microsoft.com if you are still seeing an issue.

Quality assurance
The app chrashes multiple times and asks to sign in after restarting, then crashes again.
Obviously, the quality assurance for this product is not working and this needs to be resolved1 voteWe’re sorry you saw this crash issue! I’m happy to announce that our team has just deployed a solution. If you are still affected, you may need to uninstall and re-install Teams to fully restore service (teams.microsoft.com/downloads). Please let us know if you need help troubleshooting.
Thanks!
