  1. Progress bar for downloading

Could you add a progress bar when we are opening a file? When a file is big we are lost about download progress. Is Teams freezing or working?

  3. customizable toolbar

Toolbar should be customizable or adjustable. I'd like to have access to other installed apps on toolbar without having to resort to clicking on ellipse.

Placement of ellipse should be adjustable (top of apps, bottom of apps, top of toolbar, bottom of toolbar, above "Store", below "Feedback"). It would probably be best if this was just a draggable item.

  4. Promote Checklist Item UI in Planner needs better feedback and Undo

When you click the promote button on a checklist item in Planner, the item disappears with no indication of what happened. I've had users complain that items are being deleted.

The item was properly promoted to its own task, but the UI does not give the user any indication of what happened.

I've tested this on the OWA/Browser version of Planner and the Windows desktop version of Planner.

Perhaps a fading message could be added. Or perhaps the checklist item could be left in the list for a moment, with a message about what happened and undo and dismiss buttons.

  5. Let user reorder tabs

Tabs on the left might be better if the individual user can reorder them to their liking and use

  6. Extract Chat Threads

Is there going to be a better way or capability to extract chat threads? Also it seems to be a pain when trying to copy the thread, it does not stay highlighted nor copies names.

  7. Log out & Quit buttons

Guys, whole world (including your apps like Skype or Skype for Business) has Quit/Exit/Close button on the bottom of context menu, with Team I always end up with logging out instead of closing application. Very simple to change, very annoying if not changed.

  8. Don't let Ctrl-Arrow Wrap Around in a Text Field

When you're using the ctrl and arrow keys to jump through text, and you go all the way to the beginning of the text, and go one more left arrow key more, the cursor will jump from the first word in a post to the end. However, it won't let you go back in the other direction (i.e. from the last word back to the first). I often use ctrl-left arrow to jump quickly through the words in a message without removing my fingers from the keyboard to the mouse, but now if I go too far, I'm now stuck…

  9. Show participants panel at top of screen when screen sharing

When looking at participants video panel then it will make for a more natural engagement as eyes will be looking nearer the video camera

  10. Stop reaction emoji choice from showing when hovering over message

We're super happy that we finally can have more than just the "thumbs up" reaction. That came out of nowhere today!

Saying that, please, please, please immediately/ASAP change, so that reaction choices don't pop-up when hovering over a message. I do like Teams and am a big advocate for it in the office, but sorry, that one's terrible and super distracting! The choice only should come up when either clicking on or hovering over the "reaction button". Thanks in advance.

  12. Right click context option to paste unformatted

Although we have the Control+Shift+V hotkey to paste unformatted text, it would be nice to also be able to right click, and have a second option to paste unformatted.

  13. View bookmark for Saved messages

I appreciate the new Reactions for messages. However, I also rely very heavily on Saving messages. Since adding the new Reactions, the bookmark for saved messages is no longer visible on the message without opening the context menu -- this is very inconvenient. Please display the bookmark again on the message! Thanks

  14. Split Contact list from chats

Until now I use an old skype version and pidgin.

In both tools the contact list is splitted from the chat windows. Also for each chat I have a new window.

  15. Cache recent messages

In a chat or channel, scroll up a few pages - you will see that the messages are temporarily displayed as placeholders until they are fetched from the server.

Now scroll down again. Your most recent messages are also shown as placeholders until fetched from the server, despite representing only a few kilobytes of data, if that.

All messages should be cached locally for a decent amount of time, to increase interactivity. The time and size of the cache should have sensible defaults but be configurable by the user.

  16. Add OneNote and Planner icons to the left bar

Please remove the ellipses in the left icon bar and make OneNote and Planner their own icons.

  17. Can we have an option to get rid of the Store icon in Teams?

Yeah, I get it, Microsoft wants to sell ****.

In a corporate environment, though, I can't actually buy anything. Nor do I want anything except a collaboration app that isn't a pain **********. So the icon is just more clutter in what I feel is an already-cluttered interface.

(I'm sure there are free apps in the store; I just don't care.)

  19. Pop-out option when viewing a screen share

The screen share window currently must remain within the teams desktop application window. When I am involved viewing a screen share, it would be nice to be able to pop out the sharing window so that I can continue to use the teams application for other chats and such. This would let me use other monitors that have more space to effectively view the screen share without needing to move my teams window from the location i normally display it.

  20. Make window "active" when cmd-tab to Teams app in Mac

When you cmd-tab between applications on Mac, I would expect the main window to become active when I get to the next app. In Teams this doesn't happen, and I have to go to the mouse/trackpad to click on the window for it to happen (it is not that the window is minimized, it is just not "active").

Two main drawbacks for me from this:

    1. The last chat message I got, and that I could read and is done with, doesn't get marked as read without me having to click on the app (slows me down and annoys me because…
