  1. So confusing UX

I have 8 years dev experience in big companies.
Your non general UX makes ppl confused to get used to it.
where is group chat? where is dm? not straightforward.
why the group chat is always collapsed so I should expend that every time?

Why do you spam emails everytime as default?

dont try to make better things differently. that makes ppl go away.
just mimic the major one first and add features one by one later

your benefit is Team is for free. use that one first.

    Cheers,

  2. The URLs when "copy link" are too long to paste into MS's own products e.g. MS Outlook. I've had to resort to using bit.ly to truncate!

  5. I'm looking at a PDF saved to Teams and it takes up about 1/3 of the screen. What use is this?

  6. Double click top left closes app not expand it

Programs have always been able to be closed by double clicking the top left hand corner. Why the change with this app? It's confusing as it goes against the interface of all other WIndows programs, and also may hinder those with usability issues.

  8. Use true italics

Please use Segoe UI's true italic, instead of slanting the regular version of Segoe UI.

  9. Make email addresses available and visible to copy and paste from teams messages (BAD UI/UX)

For some reason teams covers the email address in a message. This makes it a nightmare to select whole email address in order to copy and paste. It happens every time I ask for someones email address and I go to select it, and copy/paste into outlook. The Elipses and like button uncessarily covers it. It is extremely aggrivating. See screenshot.

  10. App Bar Information

It might help onboarding and initial use of Teams by having a small bar at the top of each app when selected describing the main focus.

Yes, there is a nice welcome message and onboarding experience when you first install the application, but breaking this down further might help.

    How it might work:
    1. You open an "app" from the "app bar" (area of Teams you wish to interact with). Chat for example.
    2. In the main area of the window, there would be a small bar that runs along the top, just below the window (dark purple) bar. This…

  11. Excel in teams does not resize correctly

Excel in Teams is not resizing correctly to window size. It does not seem to matter which monitor I use or if in preview or editing. Dismissing the chat window and refresh do not help either. See attached.

  12. Isn’t this a bad way to collect feedback? It’s a echo chamber, the top results are on top and people who want to help but want to be quick j

Don’t use a voting system for product feedback - it’s an echo chamber - more people vote for those because they are easy and at the top of the list. I’m not practically going to scroll through all the ideas to see which match my experience. If you want unbiased feedback ask open ended first and remove the vote counts from choices, and randomize those ones your product team wants additional input on. Design by top votes is like reading news by popularity - you get a bunch of ****.

  13. Awful experience

The way groups channels and chats are arranged it's very complicated is such a mess to navigate through them takes so much time.
To give a like in the app takes two steps!!! And nothing intuitive also the navigation is exhausting.
The most horrible emojis, and such a pain to use the the ones that start with s, and not a standard with other apps, you must guess.

  15. New Chat, why the button?

When I click the button to start a new Chat, a new row is shown among my ongoing chats, it is titled New Chat until I add someone to the conversation and start chatting. Instead of having the button for a new chat, can this New Chat row be shown always instead? It feels redundant to have the button, which is not very well placed at the moment.

  16. "Do Not Disturb" banner size doesn't automatically scale

When "Do Not Disturb" is enabled, the banner appearing along the top does not scale in size to fit all of the text (including the Change Settings link) when the window is restored/resized to a smaller size. Please see attachment for example.

  17. May users change the "color" for their avatar?

As my color is pink, and the abbreviation is JH. However I am male,
and there is female colleague also be abbreviated as JH, both my and her full name are looks similar. The wrong color may cause confuse for people to find right person.

  20. Fix Uncheck Feature

Please fix the "Uncheck" Feature in Teams. I can use the check at the top of a file list in a "Files" tab to select all files in that location, but the "uncheck" feature doesn't work. It appears when I "uncheck" at the top that everything is still selected.
