Microsoft Teams is currently the most RAM consuming application on my computer1,880 votes
Thank you for your recent votes on the individual performance items. High memory and RAM usage is something we are continuously working to improve, and the team is hard at work on fixes.
If interested, you can find more details on how Teams currently uses Memory at https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/teams-memory-usage-perf.
I can't use teams with out it lagging severely. When I go and look at the processes running, It always looks like the 'helper' is taking up crazy amounts of CPU and it lags out the application to the point of it almost being unusable.
I've tried closing the application, rebooting, re-installing, checking for updates, etc.. nothing works.

Thank you for your feedback. Our performance team is working on improving the overall performance of the Windows client. We expect to see performance jumps in the latest version of Electron rolling out (Electron 10).
For some reason the latest update has Teams using between 8% and 25% CPU idling, doing nothing. There is an issue with this update.1,072 votes
Literally Teams will crash 5 or 6 times a day. Hugely annoying and unproductive.899 votes
Thank you for your feedback. The team is actively working on the performance of Teams, and have made some small improvements around crashing, reliability, hanging and freezing. We will share updates as soon as they are available.
Right now it simply loads too slowly, and it has that massive in-your-face splash screen while doing it.458 votes
Application load time is something we are continuously working to improve, and the team is hard at work on fixes. We have validated a recent regression in application launch time that will be fixed in the coming weeks.
Is there a problem with Teams. Several users report that they are frequently disconnected.
