  3. Add a "Teams" icon into Outlook address book

When a new Team is created, a new email address is automaticaly created on Exchange.
Unfortunately there is no icon to identify this new Team into the Outlook user address book. (The "icon" filed is simply left blank.)

It would be nice to add a "Teams" icon into Outlook.

  5. Include Skype users (not just Skype4Business/Lync users) as external.

I dont know if it is an option that we need to turn ON, but i do not seem to be able to add external users to a Team.
I would expect to be able to add any of the following:
    * Email address (so messages can be emailed to a 'team').
    * Skype (standard skype, NOT S4B / Lync)
    * Skype 4 Business / Lync (apparently this is supported - but i just cant see it).

  7. Microsoft Teams Room Systems

    Hello Everyone,

May we please suggest that Microsoft Teams provides the same features for Skype Room Systems (with the Conversation, Content and share tray abilities) for Microsoft Teams meetings for conference rooms?

Thank you for taking the time to help bring this idea into fruition.

  9. Exportable reporting data

Ability to export report data for external reporting and warehousing.
I.e. extract data from and WebAPI that allow custom reporting by exposing data on a granular level?

E.g. session details, conference, voice quality, screen sharing etc. much like what exist for Skype for Business today (on site).

  10. Stated supported browser versions are not supported.

Several places Teams' documentation/guidance states: "Use supported internet browsers, which include: Internet Explorer 11+, Microsoft Edge 12+, Chrome 51.0+, and Firefox 47.0+."

However, I've found that the most recent Chrome version which is supported is 59, and the most recent Firefox version which is supported is 52.

Otherwise the message to download an updated browser or use the Teams app is displayed.

    This is on Windows 10.

  13. Teams to join a skype meeting

During interopeabiltiy phases, a Teams client needs to be able to join a Skype meeting without the skype client being installed on the desktop or mobile device. There should only be a single collaboration tool required.

  14. Integrate Teams Meetings into Consumer Skype App

My request here is to enable the consumer Skype App to support Microsoft Teams Meetings. This will mean every user who has the Skype App installed can easily join Microsoft Teams Meetings. This would give MS a competitive edge over WebEx, Go-to-meetings, etc., because a broader range of users will have a usable App already installed on their device.

As a Microsoft Teams user, I frequently send out meeting requests to users outside my organisation who have difficulty joining the meetings from their PCs. There are often issues with downloading the app, and once they install it, it is often…

  15. notific

An @ mention should give a notification of some kind in outlook. This would help Outlook-a-holics in our organization and make sure nothing gets missed. This could be a Conversation History tab function maybe?

  16. Outlook Integration - Send to Teams (similar to Send to OneNote capabilities)

Ability to right click Outlook message or Meeting and send to Teams, allowing user to pick channel to send to.

This would allow easy "escalation" from email to Teams, get this stuff out of my Inbox! :-)

  17. Describe most common use cases, and best practices

I see that some people are already deep into MS Teams. However before we jump into MS Teams, we want to see some use cases and how to use Sharepoint, MS Office user groups, Skype for Business, and MS Teams in those use cases.
For instance a use case could be as follows:
The food processing plant wants to add 3 mixers. The plant manager needs to talk first with the CFO about its cost break even analysis and ROI, with purchasing about possible vendors and mixer costs, with plant people about installation, training and usage, and with the warehouse…

This is GREAT feedback. Thank you! We’re working on a blog series and we’ll be sure to include use cases, thanks to your feedback.

Meanwhile, please see this website for adoption and best practices for Teams: www.successwithteams.com

Let me know if you need anything else!

  18. Able to See When a Team Member is Typing

In Spark, it was super-useful, especially in a work environment, to be able to see which team member was currently typing a message, so the entire Team wasn't typing/submitting messages all over each other. This is very useful especially when questions were asked - instead of 5 people responding at the same time, we could see who started typing and let them submit before adding to the conversation.

  19. Fix the Teams Meeting Addin for Outlook

There are two things that are critically broken:

    1. The Teams Meeting Addin for Outlook never works out of the box. Even on a fresh installation of Office 365 ProPlus and Teams, the Teams Meeting addin never loads. We have to manually go to each user's computer and close Teams and Outlook and then manually register the Microsoft.Teams.AddinLoader.dll, then start Teams, then Outlook to get it to work. And then the next time Teams updates (which is frequently), the Addin breaks and disappears.

    2. The Teams Meeting Addin for Outlook does not work if we use federated authentication. All our users MFA…

  20. Federation with the Matrix Protocol

I know there are already a lot of requests for federation. This is a different type of request though, as it is more specific:

Similar to how true email federation uses open source federated protocols like IMAP, SMTP, POP3, true federated banquet style chat applications should also use open source federated protocols to allow other clients & hosts.

The Matrix protocol (which is managed by a non-profit organization) is the most popular way to do this. I would love if Microsoft Teams added support for this to allow it to truly replace email, and communicate with customers, vendors, etc. that…
