Screen Sharing Options for Ultrawide Screens
Currently, Teams allows users to share either a screen (desktop) or specific application (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Edge). This works when users are all using similar monitor sizes, such as 27", 24", or 19". However, as ultrawide monitor become more and more popular, it is difficult for users of say a 40" or 49" monitor to share their screen (desktop). This is because Teams attempts to put the real estate of a 49" monitor onto a 24" screen making the graphics and text extremely hard to see.
Proposed is to add another sharing options aside from sharing a screen (desktop) or specific application. This new option would allow users to be able to set an "share area" of their screen, similar how Excel users can set a "print area" on their workbook. Any programs, documents, or graphics put into this "share area" would be shared with others.
I took the liberty to mock up what the proposed option of what I am calling "share area" would look like.
