Option to disable "New Meeting Experience"
As a result of "MC212453", we have confirmed that the "new meeting experience" in Teams meetings was forcibly deployed.
In the usage environment, it is difficult to use because it is a "new conference experience".
For this reason, we would like to have the option and functions such as the management center set to disable the conference experience.

There are several Senior Management that would like this feature turned off. As great a feature, please put back the option to turn off.

this is horrible.
Just bring back the option to disable opening a new window for a call. I get that it brings many new options, but most users don't need that many features, since we use teams in a very simple way.
Besides, for simple meetings it is really an annoyance to have it in a new window, and if you search this forms are getting more and more people willing to go disable this thing.
Another point, is the performance, since spewing a new window doubles the resource usage (at least in MacOS), and makes more window clutter than is necessary.
Looks like I'm not alone....

This is nuts... Whomever decided this was a "good idea" has obviously never worked in a collaborative environment with multiple chats and calls going at the same time. We had the option in prior versions to turn "new user experience" on or off. I tuned it on once for like an hour, found it to be appallingly confusing and difficult to navigate. I turned it back off and never looked back. Now I'm forced into it with no recourse. Providing the user base options is the hallmark of quality software development. MS missed the mark on this one and needs a course correction ASAP. We have other options in my environment. If this is not corrected, I guess I'll move to Slack and Webex and ditch Teams. Better to use two properly designed, configurable applications to do a single job than to to be constantly searching desktops for the right window or screen to do what I need to do to service customers. Get with the program and FIX THIS!!!!!

I totally agree with Paula Davies. Now the option to turn OFF new meeting experience has been removed, this is slowing us down when answering many calls. Please can you return this option for your users. When hovering over someone's profile, you cannot see if they are busy, in a meeting or call. We rely on seeing their job title and other information by hovering over their profile, this has gone. Now having to close the new window to use the search bar, then returning to the new window to transfer a call

Meetings were much more efficient when I could disable this disruptive feature. Having the meeting in the same window as other teams functions was far more efficient and useful.
Please bring back the option to turn off pop-out calls/meetings. Very unhappy with the recent change!
Too many people are hating this new, forced tech change, and it has been an absolute disaster. We will not sit idly by on this any longer. We cannot be in the business of making technology changes that cause stress on people without thinking through these things fully—and without field support and approval.
- We DO NOT want the voice breakout sessions forced on us.
- This causes undo stress, keeps many sessions and voice sessions open without our knowledge.
- We have to toggle between many open windows and it is absolutely difficult to find our main TEAMS chat window so we can do our work.
- I have personally spoke on a call that I did not know I was on…and was asked why I was still on this call. To my embarrassment, I did not know…other than I had minimized the window while trying to go to the main Teams Chat. This is NOT a good thing
- We want the option to keep voice chats within the main TEAMS chat app so we can fluidly traverse TEAMS searches, chats, meeting notes, and other apps without having to traverse different voice windows. We simply want the option to do breakouts or keep the voice chat in the same main TEAMS Chat App.
- The TEAMS WEB is NOT an option that we will use as primary. We have the application installed on our PC’s, and that’s the way we will continue to use it. The Web Client is there if we want to use it, but it will not be our primary method for conversation and chat.
- Further, all of our teams are virtual. This means we have differing monitor setups, speakers, microphones etc of all types along with having to use our laptops just in their bare form…Many different ways we do business. To have our conversations and chats within ONE TEAMS Chat app is hugely important so as not to create dysfunctional desktops that add to our already complex and difficult environments we operate in. Before you forced this change on us, we enjoyed smooth and easy to manage conversations within the main TEAMS Chat client, could do searches while conversation is minimized to a corner and easily traversed the app with no issues…this helped us to stay extremely efficient. Forcing us into breakouts have only caused undo stress and difficulty. It is not good.
We will continue to fight to have this option…and will continue adding more people as necessary. We cannot afford to go backwards in technology. Please help us address this situation as it’s just simply not a fun way to do business.

When first implemented, I didn't see the use of it and quickly disabled it, but then it got force applied for everyone which caused technical problems for many, including me.
Absolutely agree - why the developers think that everyone would want to function this way is beyond me...people are different - some may find forced meeting pop outs useful. I do not. But don't hold your breath that they'll listen to their customers and give us back our freedom of choice on how to use Teams....
This so called "feature" is a unmitigated DISASTER.... It disrupts workflow and creates windows all over the place that are difficult to locate and control causing undue delays and stress on me and my team. If you like it, fine, keep it. At least give those of us who work in a fast paced collaborative environments juggling multiple teams call and chats the option to turn this "feature" off.
This needs to be actioned as soon as possible please. I'm running build 1.4.00.6862 (64-bit) and am now stuck with the new meeting experience and windows opening left right and centre. I use DeskPins with teams to keep it at the front with my remote desktop session and this means calls and meetings are stuck behind the pinned main Teams window.

I would like to see again the feature to disable that meetings open in separate windows as I find them hard to keep track of and I prefer using the older one. This also helps people with older machines lagging when opening a new window.
PLEASE restore the option to disable this "feature". It makes navigating multiple windows during a meeting so much more clumsy.
I would like to have the choice to disable the new meeting experience where a meeting opens in a new window. I prefer that it opens in the same window (Like in the "old" experience). I'm disappointed that the option to disable meetings opening in new window has been removed or simply not developed as it was rolled out. Please consider to offer this option.
