Prepare meeting breakout rooms
As a creator of a meeting I want to prepare my breakout rooms before the meeting gets started. So i already assigned people to rooms before the meeting is going to start.
When the meeting is in progress i Only need to open the rooms.
Next to that you want to send documents directly from the main room to the breakout rooms
Thank you for your feedback! We are happy to announce that capability for the meeting organizer to perform breakout room configurations and participant assignments prior to the start of the meeting is now available to users who have opted into Public Preview.

We look forward to your preview feedback!
when i plan a workshop, i know i need breakout rooms. I want to create them before the start of the meeting (e.g. the day before). Perfect will be this function, if I can do this by preparing and sending the invitation with outlook.

Some meetings we carry out require breakout rooms for different training needs, it would be good to pre-allocate people into these rooms, rather than waiting for everyone to attend the meeting, and then setting up the rooms.
It would be nice if you can create breakout rooms before the meeting. So you don't have to do this during a meeting.

As a teacher who is using teams to teach learners with difficulties I feel that organising breakout rooms needs to be easier, it wastes time setting up the groups during the lesson, I would like to be able to do this before I start.
It would be great to then click the button and they go off into their groups, I could then set a timer and then they automatically come back into the main room.

I am a teacher using Teams and Breakout groups. In the spring, I used Zoom and they have several features for breakout groups that were VERY useful, simple and user friendly. Here are some problems with Microsoft Teams breakout rooms:
1. We are unable to assign students to breakout rooms in our classes before class starts. This wastes valuable class time.
2. When I do assign students to breakout rooms, they disappear as soon as class ends. So if I want students to be in the same breakout groups for several days in a row, I have to enter them every day - very time consuming.
3. If a kid does not get into the room, for whatever reason, I cannot add him later, he is "stuck" with me in the main classroom and I cannot get him into a group.
4. If I want to change a student from one room to another, I cannot.
That is it for now! Thank you for reading! I hope you can incorporate these things to Teams for teachers!
The Breakout rooms will be great. For educators is there any consideration for allowing us to set those up the day before? Allowing us the ability to set default groups so that students are always in the same group? Along with allowing for the ability to moving students to different groups without dumping all groups and starting over?
