Prepare meeting breakout rooms
As a creator of a meeting I want to prepare my breakout rooms before the meeting gets started. So i already assigned people to rooms before the meeting is going to start.
When the meeting is in progress i Only need to open the rooms.
Next to that you want to send documents directly from the main room to the breakout rooms
Thank you for your feedback! We are happy to announce that capability for the meeting organizer to perform breakout room configurations and participant assignments prior to the start of the meeting is now available to users who have opted into Public Preview.

We look forward to your preview feedback!
Being able to stage the breakout rooms prior to the meeting start time would be a big win. It's wasting time and feels unorganized to do it during the meeting.
As an addition, creating breakout rooms in a Team upfront, where for each breakout rooms attendees can be assigned based on the member list of that Team.
It is at this moment not practical to assign people in workgroups at an active meeting when having 50 people or more in a session
Being able to prepare my breakout rooms is essential for my lessons. It takes a lot of time to assign pupils once the class has started, they are waisting minutes waiting. Please add this feature!

This feature to set up the breakout rooms in advance of the meeting is essential.
Nodig voor een goede lesvoorbereiding!

When using breakout rooms you can assign students manually, or automatically. If I want students to be working in the same groups over consecutive days it would be nice to have an option to save the breakout groups so that students can automatically be put into the same groups they were in the previous day rather than having to manually assign members to groups each day.
yes please. Saves time and you can prepare a workshop better.

Very critical to allow organizer to effectively run meetings with little or no downtime.
Much needed feature! During online lessons my students demand my full attention, any class-management that can be done in advance is so very welcome. Much too time consuming now.

Saves time so yes please!
This option is definitely needed in advance of the meeting! If not available in advance of the meeting, this could consume a lot of valuable time for other things to do as the meeting organizer.

I would like that too! That would be much more practical and very useful

The ability to set up the breakout groups beforehand would be really useful - particularly when trying to ensure a good mix of admin and academic staff in each group. Teams randomly selecting people doesn't ensure this at all.
We provide a lot of user training it would be great if we could prepare breakout rooms in advance ahead of the meeting

Being able to setup breakouts ahead of time is crucial. If you have a 100+ participants and want them broken into breakouts by region, it takes too much time to setup during the meeting.
Yes, I agree. This morning I tried this option (for the first time) as a teacher and it was chaos. So I wish I could have prepaired this.

Teachers need to prepare their lessons, because on the moment of teaching a class of 80 students, its a **** of a job during your lesson.
It would be VERY helpful!
As a government worker using TEAMS, this preparation for breakout rooms would enable us to utilize our meeting time more effectively and efficiently! Please add this functionality!!! :)
It would be very helpful!
I'm a teacher and I would like to make smaller groups in settings the children feel comfortable to work in. During the online lessons it costs too much valuable time to form these groups manually.
A very practical feature in google. Would love to use it in my work (=Teams) too! (MS for education)
