Change Teams Meeting Organizer
We often have one person booking a meeting or series of meetings (say training classes) that ends up being run by others. Would be nice if the meeting organizer could add another organizer or change the organizer to someone else. Currently only the organizer can take attendance. In our case, the organizer may not even be planning on attending the meeting.

This should have been a basic option from the very beginning.
I, as an Organizer, should have the ability to assign another participant, as an Organizer.
The Organizer should be able to set up a meeting any way they would like.
As others have mentioned, I too have scheduled a series of meetings in which I am not a participant.

I work as an assistant and cannot click an email from my manager and turn this into a meeting (with the button), as this meeting will end up in my own calendar.
I have to move the email into my managers' calendar and then start to set everything up from scratch.
We need to be able to change this, as there are many assistants who have delegate access to their managers' calendars.

This is an absolute must in order to use Teams for training sessions etc.

i fully agree with the need of this request. Comming from a bigger company we get asked for this feature.

I agree. We need this option also. Would be extremely useful.

Yes, this would be an extremely valuable addition, especially when deleting a user account via the O365 admin portal. Currently, when I delete a user account (terminate an employee), the O365 admin portal workflow prompts me to convert the account to a shared mailbox and grant access to another user. It would be awesome if that workflow could update the organizer of any meetings to the new user at the same time.

Our large employer has recently moved to using Teams and it is a big disappointment to us all that the organiser of the team - even when it is arranged via a channel - is the only one who can amend it. We have projects which change hands quite often and we had been promoting the use of channel bookings to overcome issues with change of ownership - until we realised this was not the case.

Agree with the comments - this would be a complete game changer, Lots of meetings are managed/created by one person handling the calendar invites but who are not going to lead the meeting, also there are often ongoing recurring meetings set up by individuals that may then leave or change jobs, to have someone recreate that meeting would mean the meeting thread of conversation and any subsequent files would stay in the old meeting not transfer into the new meeting conversation that would be created with the new invite, making it less efficient and yet another place to have to look.
Please make this change available asap.

Would love to be able to transition from WebEx Training to Teams for our trainings, but it's critical to have the option for a co-host/producer. A real miss on MS part.

I strongly support the call for this feature. How hard can it be to realise it?

This function would be a total game changer. Allowing a "wing person" also know as a producer or a designated team with the same capabilities would give such peace of mind. This would come in handy in case someone looses connection also. The designated person would have immediate access to take over. Same for unexpected out of office moments.

Recurring meetings must have more than one organizer, or allow a former organizer to promote other participants to the organizer. In big teams it is a problem when a single person is an organizer and they need to be absent and there is no way to pass on that responsibility. It is important to have this feature.

Many of our meetings are scheduled by administrative support person who controls an executive's calendar. The meeting facilitator needs to control the breakout rooms, but cannot control them because the facilitator isn't the meeting organizer. If we could designate a meeting facilitator as co-host, giving them power to control breakout rooms, that would solve our problem.

We need to be able to assign a new meeting organiser (like a co-host) who can create break out rooms. They may not be the person who created the meeting but a meeting facilitator.

I am about to run a series of learning events that have been set up by another member of my team. She now cannot attend these session so no one will have the ability to set up break out rooms.

We've had original organiser go out for a few months and the team needs to carry on. The chat history and etc are valuable and prefer to keep them - would be great to transfer owner so we can adjust meeting times and days around schedules/holidays.

This is an essential feature, especially if the original organiser isn't available. Delegation needs to be put in place.
