Allow users to globally set file sort order by name
The inability to globally set the default sort order for files in Teams (By name) makes accessing files inefficient and leads to a poor customer experience. The previous solution provided to create custom views requires you to individually create the view in every team you are a member of and then requires two mouse clicks every time you enter the team to utilize it.
We need the ability to globally set the file sort order to name and have it persist across all teams a user is a member of and across sessions.
Much of the content in Teams is time-sensitive (chats, calls, activities) and sorting by most recent date and time is the logical solution. Files and folders on the other hand have a much longer shelf life and are often permanent references. The standard in Windows explorer and all file storage systems that I’m aware of is to sort by Name. (Why would the default be date????)
