Poor performance on Windows
The system takes a lot of the computer resources and slows down the overall performance of the pc

It takes nearly ten minutes on my 64 bit latest updated laptop to start so you can imagine how much time it would take to start on other laptops. I am always late.
It's nearly impossible to hold several conversations. It takes a few seconds to switch back and forth. Slack would load everything immediately.
This app needs high internet speed..and also make system slow.
Still slow and getting slower. I start a Teams meeting and then click to share the Kanban board. It can take anywhere between 1-2 minutes before the Kanban has fully loaded on my screen, and it isn't a big Kanban...This on a Surface Pro.
Seeing slowness as well. We migrated from Slack which had a super fast UI (immediate response) and we're having 1-5 second delays on most clicks inside Teams across our organization.
I definitely feel there's room for improvement in here.
Its 2020 and they still havent done anything about this. I was typing in the FEEDBACK section and the entire assignment tab froze. But guess what, as soon as i click on a another tab feature in the left hand panel, sure enough -switches to that tab and my work isnt saved.
Microsoft wont do anything about this because they are capitalizing on the professionals' need for this program, and as long as people need a platform, they take whatever they can get.
Gotta make that $$$$, eh Micro$$$oft?
We switched some time ago and have been using TEAMS across the organization for many months. Unfortunately we are now seeing performance delays creeping in. Primarily when a user switches to TEAMS (from other applications) or moves between chats.
This seems to be isolated to some individuals (primarily ones that are heavy users) and is more pronounced when a heavy user is switching to chat channel with another heavy user. In one case my counterpart in another country is seeing 3-5 second "pauses" when he switches to the chat channel between us. During that time Teams is just unresponsive.
It only happens on the Windows10 installed version, we do NOT see the same delays on the iOS app or the web-app (on the same machine).
Is anyone else seeing the same?
Slow typing in desktop and Android app
live events doesn't work in china???
10,000 slower than other messangers

I just want to be able to switch between 'Teams' and 'Chat' without having to sit & wait.

The Teams Windows desktop app has been always a slow performing app since itis not native. Many a times it just get stuck after logging in. Stays like that for minutes. The app UI is not snappy at all. It takes up a lot of memory. Natively built (even c# win forms) applications perform in a much better way than these electron apps.
Dropped calls, static, when will Microsoft release a software product when it is ready instead of when they feel like it only to issue 15 patches
Try to edit a message on "Team" X and put a ~300 KB image from a "Chat" Y.
The whole channel switch, image downloading, switch back, enter edit mode (even with keyboard shortcut (arrow up)), and inserting the image takes like 12 seconds in a 4000 dollar laptop with 60 Mbps connection.
If you just want to clarify or correct a message you just posted with a better image in a hot conversation, you won't make it. Half of the users will see the original/wrong one.
* Fix that lag between channel switch. It should be like 0.2 seconds
* Right clicking and copying a thumbnail should copy the original image, not the thumbnail (facepalm)
Compared with Skype for Business, Teams performance tends to be unstable when the caches or service incidents effects on it. I would like you to improve the overall performance.
Teams is frequently very frustratingly slow when typing text (Windows 10 desktop). I can barely type in the "Give feedback" box in Teams because it lags so badly. I type a word and then have to wait a couple of seconds before the word appears! Likewise it is slow to type text in the chat area. I think this awfully slow performance might be related to the fact that my colleague and I have a large number of messages in the chat area because we've been discussing work topics in detail for a long time. However, it is really essential for Teams to support a large number of chat messages because Teams is intended for companies to use.
Another frustrating problem is that whenever I reopen Teams, or whenever I move away from the chat area and then later return to the chat area, the chat is NOT scrolled to the most recent message at the bottom. I have to use the scrollbar every time in order to scroll down to the most recent message. Furthermore, it is slow to use the scrollbar to scroll to the bottom because it takes time to load the messages. It is also slow to switch between the "Chat" and "Teams" areas of Teams.
The teams app when downloaded is effecting the system performance.. both in mobile and desktop.
