TASKS/PLANNER | Task linking, Assignable subtasks/checklists, dependencies
I am a Teams power user and a huge fan of its evolution over the last few years.
I've been waiting impatiently for Tasks (the new Planner) to be rolled out and it is indeed a great step forward to finally having Planner & To Do in one place. Well done!
What would propel Tasks (a.k.a Planner, for the nostalgic ones) back on the map of great task management tools would be the following developments:
The possibility of different tasks/subtasks within a plan to be linked to one another.
Possibility to set recurring tasks
Once linked, a sequence or relationship (i.e. done parallel) to be established between two (or more) tasks/subtasks.
Among all, this is the feature that I most find myself needing from Tasks in my day-to-day, while managing my team...
The possibility to:
- assign subtasks (of a task) to different team members
- set due date and priority for the subtask (same as for a task)
- view assigned subtasks as a standalone item in the list view among main tasks
- set task/subtasks sequencing capability and notify the next in line when the previous step is completed.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your consideration,
