Pop out video for DHH student's ASL Interpreter
Our deaf and hard of hearing students can not see their interpreter well once the teacher uses screen share/presents because the video of the interpreter shrinks too small. Please have an option to select and pop out a participant. This is the sole reason our district is allowing the DHH team to use Zoom instead. However we have DHH students in non-DHH classes with hearing students and that teacher is required to use Teams for synchronous learning. Please add this accessibility for our DHH students so they can join ALL classrooms.

Dynamic view sounds like it might address this, but doesn't say whether it is for EDU and GCC or not:

The Pin function could provide this, if Microsoft allowed just two participants to be pinned, instead of one. This way, the student could Pin the teacher and Pin the interpreter easily. The code is there, Microsoft - just do it!

This is absolutely essential, not just for D/HH Students, but also D/HH employees! PLEASE add the pop-out participant feature!

Pop-out flexibility is the KEY to using this. Different students need different levels of viewing for individual engagement!

I love this to make the product more accessible for DHH students (or adults who are using Teams, too). Making it possible to pop out a single person in a separate window would be helpful to others without disabilities as well. For example, it would let people watch a screen share in the main window with the speaker's video feed in another. 1:1 aids in a classroom could pop-out 1 student while still seeing the typical class view in the main window. There are many applications beyond people with interpreters.

This should just be automatic, it is unfair that the deaf don’t have equal access!

Please do your part and help these kids learn. Be the start of something great for the deaf/hard of hearing community. These kids have education at the tip of their fingers, they just need your help fully accessing it.
