Change download location
Please provide an option to change the download location e.g. to the Desktop.
Currently all downloaded files are stored in "C:\Downloads", so when a file is received you need to navigate to that folder and look for it.
It will be much more convenient if you can change the default download location, and also to have the option to change the download folder before accepting the file. The same way most of the programs work (e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Skype, etc.).
I changed my Edge download folder months ago, but Teams still uses the pre-defined default. Lame.

Changing download location in Microsoft Edge did the trick for me.
(Teams is a web app after all.)
Not exactly what some people need but if you use a single download location for all apps...
Doesn't seem like it's going to change anytime soon: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/18693262-have-the-download-function-of-files-allow-you-to-s
You might also consider using Teams in a browser ( https://teams.microsoft.com ).
For me personally, the difference was unnoticeable. Didn't miss any features.

As sophisticated as Teams tries to be, it's shocking that something so simple is not possible
Agreed, this needs to be an option
I just looked for this option in Teams settings and was shocked that it wasn't available.
