Add the full screen option during Screen Sharing and Meetings
Why did Teams remove the full screen Option during Screen Sharing and Meetings? This was an option before and now it's been replaced by "Focus" which DOES NOT do the same thing. Now ever time someone share their screen with me, I have to squint at what they're showing. The Focus option does nothing. We used to be able to full screen shared screens and see everything at the proper size. It is unprofessional of Microsoft to keep removing and changing useful features without any notice.
Thank you for your continued feedback. We have not forgotten about this ask, this feature request remains on our backlog. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
Agreed. This is an accessibility issue for people who are deaf or hard of hearing who need to see both the screen share AND the video. Often people are communicating in sign language on video. It's too small to make out when they are also sharing their screen.

Full screen is not enough. Please add 'actuall size' as well like in Skype. If the screen size of the shared content is bigger than my display (which in most cases is true, since I work from my tablet) the content would still be small with the full screen functionality. With 'actual size' (or resize by pinching) I would be able to zoom in.
Can we get an update? It's been another month now, and presumably a true full screen option shouldn't be that hard to implement? Particularly since a dev presumably could just fish out an implementation from source history....
Teams evolved to add a "pseudo" full screen. Still fully unsatisfying as the task bar is still there and the title bar also (even though the title as disapeared). Skype and "old" teams meeting experince still much better.
We are migrating from Skype for business to teams, and we still prefer Skype because of the full screen option. It's a very big problem not being able to have this option. I have pretty good eyes, but even for me it's hard to see what's someone sharing.
A veery big plus would be the option to seperate the sharing/full screen window!

Not having a full screen mode is a reason for me not to use the program. When I'm working with a laptop I can hardly read anything, when a coworker is sharing the screen. We then always have to speak about this topic and the one sharing the screen has to adjust resolution or zoom in if possible.
This is really annoying. It's a good thing that this topic is in your backlog.. please, consider to push it a bit up, or even better, move it into your next sprint :)
We need "true" full screen. There is now a "fullscreen" option, but it still doesn't put the window at 100%. Selecting both fullscreen and focus still leaves a fat nav/option bar across the top.
Full screen. Full, as in complete, Screen as in the whole thing. You did it right once... is this so hard?
This morning in my child's virtual kindergarten it seems she can no longer pin just her teacher - now we have 9 or so other screens at the bottom of our teacher's pinned video, and this is distracting to see that many other students. Is there anyway to just pin her teacher as we have been doing since we started using MS Teams at the beginning of the school year??
im looking forward for that feature!
Focus is worthless. Please bring back the simple full screen as it were.

F11 should fullscreen the video sharing and other interface controls should appear on mouse over the video sharing
I would like a fullscreen so students have a better experience when learning software remotely.

I agree. The focus option does nothing. An actual full-screen button and zoom buttons are necessary to make Teams desktop sharing equivalent with Webex. Also, the resolution of a zoomed in screen share needs to be full res. If I have an HD screen and someone is sharing a 4K screen, the zoomed in text is fuzzy.
for those challenged by this remember that you now can now zoom in on the presented screen if you need to. Just (I think) control and scroll or pinch and expand. Anyway however you normally zoom in on something try it with the mouse on the presented screen.
not as good as true full screen, but if you need to see something on a laptop screen when everyone else is using 27" monitors it's one way to remove all the margins around the side.
You are letting Zoom get ahead of you on this point. Please fix it so we can collaborate and show other team members easily what we are talking about when looking at detail in Excel as an example. I have a large screen but my colleagues don't. Thanks.

This is a MUST HAVE feature especially for presentation and training sessions

Yes, this would be very useful

I have a big monitor and can usually make out content, but WAY TOO MANY folks share PowerPoint without going into presentation mode. The resulting ppt window frame, shrunk for different aspect ratios and shrunk again to fit inside the teams window & tool bars results in unreadable text, especially for 'chronologically enhanced' folks like me and most of the c-suite I present to. Full screen will endear you to decision makers and budget setters.
I am on the Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.28779 (64 bit).
The full-screen features are available.
We need a split-screen for video and presentation instead 😀
