Meeting control buttons while sharing a screen
Presenters cannot see the control buttons or the participant list while sharing their screen. However, participants can? So for instance, if a participant raise their virtual hand, everyone can see it except the presenter. The presenter can't mute a participate while screen sharing. We use Teams to deliver workshops and lectures. We use sharing all the time and struggle to know who is trying to ask a question while sharing is happening. Teams should allow the presenter to see the participant list while sharing a screen, which is currently not an option.
Another issue with file sharing is that Teams requires the participant to have an additional app to be opened to see what's been shared. For example, if I am sharing a whiteboard, the participant gets a message to say that they need to open Microsoft whiteboard. For some it doesn't work all together. If the participant is not tech saavy, they don't even know how to return to the meeting after navigating away from teams to see the whiteboard. Same with powerpoint, when someone shares a powerpoint, some will not see it as their powerpoint app struggle to play at. I am not sure how Zoom allows sharing a whiteboard or slides much faster than teams and with everyone seeing the same thing within Zoom without having to open additional apps or navigate away.
