Microsoft Voice Plan for a small business with only a few lines (2 or 3)
The way I understand MS voice plans and routing groups is, each user must be licensed for voice in order to be in a response group.
Imagine a small company that has 2 lines and 20 employees. The small business pays for 2 lines and the 20 people can only use line 1 or line 2 (waiting for a line to be free). the 2 DID numbers can call an extension to reach 1 of the 20 employees, but it will tie up just the 1 line.
I feel that users should be able to be in a response group w/o the need for a voice license. The response group should have a voice license which any user should be able to answer.
Has MS thought of this scenario, because it seems they are just pushing the $20/month unlimited per user. In that scenario, it's like the 20 employees end up costing $400/month.
In many cases where the business is already using/paying for cell phones, they would refrain from adopting MS Voice.
