Group Chats Vs Scheduled Call Group chat
Group Chat vs Schedule calls chats if there is a workaround or tip, if not it could be added to the roadmap of Microsoft Teams.
- With ongoing group chats, if schedule a meeting call that creates another thread of chat from that meeting, it will be great to have meetings within the existing group chat.
- taking the same title so the recording and history remain intact within the existing group chat.
- Maybe Meet now being added to group chat but again there will be the requirement of schedule call as all the group members may not be in the same geo-location.
Note; As a workaround, I always set up meetings as it creates a group chat, but not always you start with a meeting to create a group chat…

@Thierry Dalon, Correct you are right but i see many benefits, i did purpose having a separate teams then channel but the users will end up having so many channels, while for group chat they are fine as they can search and easily find it, while for Teams you have to go to that team and then channel, yes you can pin the channel too... but pin is limited number too....

Yes I support this request. Maybe to put it clear you want the ability to schedule a meeting from a group chat that will use as meeting chat the group chat.
I guess it is cumbersome to implement because of the rights management: people in the meeting can access the meeting group chat but not necessarily be part of the group chat.
