Add walkie Talkie function to desktop client
Allow desktop users to participate in Walkie Talkie sessions without the need for a phone.
Allows Teams to function as a PA and announcement system keeping a whole team in contact.

Any updates on this?
Very Surprised this is not front and center of MS Teams Development!
+9999 for this on PC and iOS - the missing piece for us to replace our digital phone system company wide
Either this or add intercom to MS Phone System. ASAP!

I join this request
Please add the Walkie-Talkie function to all Teams platforms including Yealink phones.
Having this on desktop is critical to our operation. It would help our office communicate with our frontline workers faster. Right now we are having to go elsewhere to do this.

Please add for Windows desktop, iOS and also Teams-enabled phones like Yealink T58 (unless that already works...we are in the process of testing).
I know I am late to the party on this one, but... Teams would be the ultimate chat application if it had Push to Talk (PTT) features to help connect people in dynamic / field environments. I think the easiest way to accomplish this in the short-term would be to add a Zello plugin. Long-term: build a Skype-powered VOIP PTT function with the ability to leave voice messages that either ties in with the text chat or is its own Team channel. Not having PTT as its own channel is probably the better option to understand the team's history / timeline and responses in a meaningful way. With the right design, a plugin connected to some hardware (Software Defined Radio - SDR) could be added that acts as a bridge from analog to digital (and vice versa) so Teams PTT and Police / Fire / CB radios can communicate back and forth: a boon for companies with dispatchers looking for a low-cost solution to integrating already in-place systems. Maybe eventually, a "Translate to text" bot will automatically transcribe the voice messages into text if configured as part of the team / channel (alternatively, it could be left to individual users).
This concept would be great. It would enable any desktop/laptop computer to be used as a "dispatch" type console.

To use this feature we would need to be able to use this on Windows PCs.
It will be good, if the same app can be used on cross OS platform, especially on Windows / Android / IOS.
Please add for PC and iOS

This would be ideal for an airport Emergency Operations Center during training and daily functions outside of an emergency event, which is why desktop interface would be ideal.
I would like to add my voice to this request.
It would be great for managers / dispatchers to work with their mobile teams from a desk to manage the floor teams.
This is needed for rugged windows tablets that delivery drivers use not just for phone devices.

We intend to test Teams Walkie Talkie as PTT system with BT headsets with PTT button within our maintenance department. Dispatch center (Desktop?), supervisor and 10 teams of technicians will be included if the test meets our requirements. One obstacle upfront is the fact that you can connect to one channel only, no possibility to communicate with all teams. Each technician team should communicate within their own team but dispatch center and supervisor need to communicate with all teams, always. Solution could be if you can connect at group level and communicate with subordinate teams.
Teams is great as digital platform for written communication, meetings etc. Walkie Talkie could be the platform for verbal communication as well, but has a disadvantage at the moment.

I hope Teams ends up with this walkie talkie functionality being a lot like Discord and other PC chat apps. No reason they can't allow for a PTT hotkey or voice activation. Even better if they roll out this type of functionality to any smartphone vs the limited numbers right now.
