Ability to Branch Channel Thread
1) For example, a thread is started in a channel, with a list of related subtopics. Then people reply to specific subtopics in the list and ignore other ones.
2) Or what starts as a single topic, becomes tangent discussions branching from the main topic.
In summary, sometimes we get multiple conversation threads going in single Teams channel thread. The conversations can get so large (50+ replies) that some of the original subtopics are missed. My workaround is to copy the link, and create a new thread myself. It would be helpful to have a way to [Branch] a chat to a new thread, possibly still referencing the parent thread it came from. Then because the thread could circle back to the parent thread, a way to close that one, and reference back to the parent thread.
Even better, it'd be great if there was a way to visually see the branching of the chat threads. Currently the Teams channels are a one dimensional view of threads, all going up and down. But conversations can branch off in a tree, and go left & right, more two dimensional.
