Add member permission options in Shifts
Currently, only team owners can add shift notes, activities etc. This is somewhat limiting as we are using an open-shift-based model in order to facilitate facility population management upon the return to work, so open shifts are created for people to assign to themselves, but once they do the members can't log any of the activities they will be doing or add any notes on their specific workspace location, vehicle assignment, etc. The implications go farther than this specific usage case, but I wanted to provide some context.
What seems like a good and relatively easy option to implement would be to copy the same type of structure as currently exists for teams themselves, whereby the owner can manage member permissions for the environment ie. instead of owners choosing to allow/refuse members permission to post on channels or create or delete tabs, they could select whether or not members could have permissions such as requesting time off, adding shift activities, adding shift notes, adjusting their breaks etc. This seems like it would offer an enhanced user experience with greater options for customization and would mimic the same type of format/structure as within other Microsoft products.
Thank you for your consideration and have a great day!
Yes, I agree. It's really frustrating because I need to find - and pay for - something that works for us. Our team sets their own shifts and when they are out/in. Please sort this. Thanks.
