Microsoft Teams - Wrong Camera Presented - No Way to set Default Camera with Anonymous Join, No Default Settings
How do I effectively get Teams to open a meeting with the Correct Video Device?
Teams appears to be willing to grab just about any USB UVC device it sees as a camera and picks whatever is first in its list.
In this case it is starting meeting presenting an HDMI capture device rather than the Camera.
I have 3 "cameras" (USB UVC) devices in a meeting room
A Logitech Screen Share HDMI Capture Device ( USB UVC ) used to integrate a secondary video feed
A Logitech Rally Camera
A second HDMI Capture Device used for conference table video sharing.
Windows has decided that the first "Camera" to list is the Logitech Screen Share
When I join a MS Teams as anonymous Teams connects to the "Logitech Screen Share" and starts sharing an incorrect video stream.
not the "Rally Camera".
a) MS Teams appears to provide no settings for "Default" devices if you are not logged in.
b) Window 10 provides no method of setting a "Default" Camera.
c) Disabling these devices in Windows is NOT an option as they are required to share laptops and integrated devices.
I have tried disabling and re-enabling the device in hopes that I could change the "order" of the devices in Windows 10.
This does not work.
How do I get MS Teams to use the Rally Camera at the start of the meeting?
Please do not suggest the untrained end user who has just walked into the meeting room and started the meeting recognize that the settings are wrong and manually change the Teams Device Camera settings by digging through the menus in Teams. We can't count on them knowing what is wrong nor can we count on them knowing how to configure the teams application.
Thanks for any help. This is a real problem. It seems like Microsoft has missed the Use Case flow where there is more than 1 camera to manage almost entirely both in Windows 10 and in MS Teams.

Microsoft please add this feature NOW. It is ridiculous that Zoom, WebEx and others have this feature and yet the company that actually writes the OS and Teams does not. Large corporations like the one I work for have multiple USB devices e.g. Logitech PTZ Pro, Magewell Capture card, etc. and Teams just randomly selects one each time a users logs in to Teams. Please allow for the selection of a default camera for all users that can be set at the policy level or by some other means and do it NOW.
