Teams client version control
Currently Teams does not have a way to limit what versions of the client can be used, like Skype does. This is problematic as security issues that are fixed in newer releases will not be included in older clients. Without a way to limit what versions can be used, there is no way to ensure that the most secure versions are the only ones allowed.
Currently there is a way to bypass conditional Access policies for Teams thick client. This is to be fixed with a client update. However, since there is no way to stop older versions of the client from working, someone could continue to load an older unfixed version of the client and continue to bypass policy.
I would love to know if there is an option for this also.
As having quite the headache with out of date machine wide clients and then user\appdata versions for users that have not logged on for x amount of time and so the client does not update.
Or if there is a best practice from Microsoft as to how to manage this.
