Give the Live Events producer actual control over the Live stream
I've just tried my first dry run of producing a Live Event and it the lack of producer control over content that goes live is astonishing.
How I thought it would work
Presenters share windows or Powerpoints before they are needed which then show up as content options at the bottom of the Producer's screen
The producer selects the content, places it in the queue, uses chat to tell the presenter they will be about to go and takes the content live.
What actually happens
- A presenter shares a window
- It immediately goes live
- Producer sits open mouthed.
Seriously, what is the point of the Producer role if Presenters can just decide to take their content live randomly, with no intervention from the Producer. None that I can see.
As it stands, Live Events is not fit for purpose. Which is very embarrassing since I was championing as the solution we should be using.
If camera feed is active in live window, I have no issue.
However, if the content feed is active in the live window, and a different presenter shares their content, it is displayed immediately.
2 content windows is needed for Live Events so producers can queue.

This is not correct.
Shared content does not go live automatically. It will if there is shared content live already and a 2nd person shares, but if you are showing a full screen person it does not flip to content for the audience.
Thanks for the cross-post Tim - missed that one.

100%. For anyone who sees this and wants to help really make a difference, the current highest-vote request about this is here: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/38711833-queue-content-next-to-presenters
