Add Live Reaction Option in meetings
This Live Reaction option (including "Thumbs Up") would be an easy way for Attendees to respond to the Presenter during meetings consisting of more than 15 people. This would prevent mass unmuting of microphones which causes the whole meeting to go out of order and most importantly loses time.
We are glad to announce that Meeting Reactions have started rolling out! You can expect to see this feature in your desktop and mobile clients over the coming week.
Thank you to our Public Preview users who gave us feedback!
Add a button to applause or have a positive reaction at the end of a meeting.
We need this in calls to apricate employees . This will help break the silence in call.
I would also like a "slow down" reaction; this is useful when following a lecture. Thumbs up, down and clap would be useful too. I would also like to see the reaction of each participant in the participant list, have them stay there until cleared by the user or host, and show how many people had a particular reaction to the host - this would be very useful for teachers to check if students are following.

Kindly remove "Laugh" emoji in chat reaction.( *Big smile* )
I think it is not required for a official communication platform like Teams.
If someone clicked it unknowingly.. in inappropriate places..,
then he may need to face its consequences.
So, kindly remove it.
Better add applause emoji.
It will be more appropriate for official communications.
COMMENTS & SUPPORTS ARE WELCOMED.

Would be great for other sentiment like FB and IG live, where people can heart, like etc.
MS Teams is indeed a really good app, but as a student i would like to have a 'Reaction' section in a call [like 'zoom'] in which we have different rections such as Thumbs up, thumbs down, Clap , Laugh etc.
This would be an excellent feature allowing us to celebrate our success!

Please a reaction function with emojis to be used during a call or meeting when some exciting thing is said/shared, without interrupting the speaker. Basically the same that happens on a chat where we can do like/love/smile. These reactions (can be applause) are to be shown live for everyone (or just for the speaker). This way the speaker can sense the user interest on the topics, the same way the user can feedback the speaker anytime.
@Alex, I have seen the above blog linked several times now but either the page doesn't exist or has changed in some way as I cannot get to it but would be very interested to see the content:
Adding a clap 👏 emoji next to the raise hand ✋ emoji in the online meetings will be awesome because it will make it easier to appreciate someone's idea w/o interrupting the flow of speech.
Similar to social media live videos, it would be nice to have the ability to float a reaction emoji up onto the meeting screen when someone is talking to "silently" react to what they are presenting.
Provide emoji buttons; laugh, applause, check marks, Xs, etc...so when the presenter makes a joke or looks for a response from a video and everyone is on mute, the presenter gets to see all the reactions/responses. It helps give the presenter visual feedback and not make the presentation so sterile.
Include a category of new buttons (sound emoji's) that include: (a) a light individual) applause (2) loud applause - resembling the full team's applause (3) sounds that go (3.1.) aaaawwww (3.2) drumroll, etc.
I was searching for a way to applaud in a virtual sprint review. It would be great if was incorporated into teams.

Please add this or something similar. The use-case is widely something like this:
If I wish to offer praise, like or kudos, I only have two options: thumbs up and heart.
Currently our company uses thumbs up for relaying the message of "confirmed". This is very different than congratulatory.
Using the HEART would be the next likely thing, but this is just asking for trouble as it too closely resembles romantic attraction, and I do not want to risk conveying such a message, particularly to someone in HR (I realize Microsoft is not to be blamed from the wide variety of usages of Love in the English language).
A clap button resolves this issue for people like me which allows me to send a more comprehensive and positive messages (which is already challenging for people like me who have the natural charisma of a wounded badger).
+1 for applause function! or a live "praise" function could work too?
I came to see specifically if this idea has been posted. There's often an ominous gap at the end of multi-presenter meetings which would normally be filled with non-verbal nods of appreciation, and murmurs of congratulations. In an online meeting, these don't exist and people are not going to unmute mics and turn on cameras for this.
The perfect non-interrupting equivalent in a video chat is as others have said, a silent icon of some sort like that in FB live / IG.
Like raising hand during meetings, but with emoticons and it stays only 30 seconds
Love the idea of Jbedford! Having a way to show appreciation during and after presentations would be awesome!
