Assign multiple organizers on a Teams meeting
It would be great if Teams could allow us to assign multiple meeting organizers on a meeting because currently only the organizer can change the meeting option and close the meeting and the meeting can only have a single organizer. This is not convenient for our business.
Thank you for your feedback. The feature team is planning to add a co-organizer role for Teams meetings. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Please! Please! Please! Pretty Please!?
Can we get an update on when this will be generally available. Not having this options makes it a challenge for us to support meeting organizers.

Hi Microsoft. We are excited this is planned. It was originally on the roadmap for this summer and now I see it's November. This is a significant limiting factor for us to use MS Teams as much as we would like.
Many of the Teams meetings for our organization are "organized" (scheduled) by an individual who does not plan to participate in the meeting. We need the ability for designated others to have organizer privileges while the meeting is in progress and afterwards, such as retrieving the meeting attendance file.
MUCH NEEDED - can you at least transfer the webinar organizer to another user if they get sick on the day of the webinar or loose their power or leave the company???

Feature ID: 81391 shows as due November CY2021 if you check the Teams Roadmap for this feature here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Teams&searchterms=81391%2C. It was prior mentioned in a comment in this post on April 14, 2021 (Page 4) as:
Feature ID: 81391 - September CY2021 - A lot of patience!
It is likely this feature add was delayed. I agree, it is very much a needed feature. Especially if a Meeting Organizer is going to be away from office for any amount of time, no meeting can be modified at all without having his user credentials (not feasible in corporate america with two-factor authentication enabled on accounts, etc.)
6 months later - is there any update to this?
Organizers are needed for recording, breakout rooms, rescheduling, deleting, etc.
Please step on this feature because I think this one is really missed by millions of users including me. :-) Cheers! Attila
Related to this, having only a single organizer for recurring meetings means that if/when that organizer has to miss a meeting, no recording can be made of the meeting. Having multiple organizers would be one way to solve this problem. Another would be to enable a switch of the organizer for a meeting (without having to cancel and reissue the meeting invitation.)
I hope the co-organizer role will allow the co-organizer permissions to delete recurring channel meetings. This is a challenge we run into with my organization when we have a new instructor takes over delivering a previous instructor's course.
These are meetings that students have already accepted into their outlook calendars, so it would make sense that a co-owner should have permission to remove such meeting instances if necessary.
The Must needed feature for everyone including health industry and this pandemic , you never know who is going to be sick and te large meetings are a big headache..
Definitely needed feature!!! Thanks in advance!

Continously a bit of a headache, being unable to share organizing responsibilities or change the organizer.
I can't wait to see this feature!
Please add this functionality soonest!
Hello Alex, thank you for this information. It is fantastic news. "As soon as possible" may work well for you and your team, yet for the thousands of other people who voted for this feature, a date works better. It is how we work in schools, we work to a deadline. It helps to reinforce priorities, provides communication structure, and feeds collaborative spirt. Thank you again -Z
I am scheduled as moderator of many teams sessions - and I need to manage breakout rooms
Any news on multiple organizers yet?
