Send to Lobby
Send To Lobby
I wonder if it's possible make an option to send someone to the lobby again.
I'm using Teams to take some court hearing, and one can't hear what other is saying. Every time I need to remove the person, and ask to rejoin and wait again in the Lobby, but sometimes people doesn't understand and left the meeting... It's quite anoying.
Another option wold be to put someone in hold.
Could you do this, please??

Our hospital is looking for this option as well. There are times we need to remove someone from the meeting temporarily during a discussion and then bring them back in. Currently we are having them hang up/disconnect and then we text them when they can come back into the meeting. We hoped that breakout rooms would solve this issue but if they don't have the new Teams meeting experience set up or if they call in (rather than log in via the app) we can not move them to another room.
It would be great if there was a way to temporarily block all incoming and outgoing audio for one participant with the click of a mouse and then click again and bring them back in. It would be even nicer if they had some nice music and an occasional message until they get pulled back in so they know they are still part of the meeting.

You can do this in other meeting products like webex and zoom and skype. We need this for close session meetings.
Same for us. Now we have some election through teams or evaluation where a person has to leave temporarly.

This would be very helpful for us in managing closed sessions for our public meetings - we could send all those who cannot be part of closed session to the lobby (like we do in real life!) and then allow them back into the meeting when we return to open session.
This really is a must have piece of functionality, our chosen organisational meeting sit is teams however more and more of us are having to move away to Zoom for example as the lobby functionality does not work in Microsoft as described below

this also works for groups holding rating and review boards, etc. It's a current Zoom capability, so from a competitive standpoint it seems like a must have.

I work with a labor union. When we have meetings with a Company Rep and one or a few of our members we need the ability to send the Company Rep back into the lobby while we have a sidebar with our member and then be able to readmit the Company Rep, or in the reverse. Place the member in the lobby while we have a sidebar with the Company Rep.
