How/Where can I remove the default Microsoft Teams backgrounds?
I would like to be able to delete or remove the default backgrounds that come with Microsoft Teams. I will never ever use the Minecraft or colored balls backgrounds.
Instead of having to scroll down through the list of default background images every single time I want to select one of my own backgrounds, deleting them would save me time and avoid irritation.
This is so simple to do in Zoom, and easier to see more background thumbs as well - why isn't this already possible in Teams? A simple right click and delete option added into the "apply background effects" window would be ideal! People who need to access these background changes quickly, don't want to have to scroll past the many unprofessional looking backgrounds that Microsoft have added as default, before they can get to their own custom backgrounds!

Open NOW for a possibility to get rid of the default images in Teams - or lets have our own at the top

Consolidate these background ideas so we get some movement: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/40015111-manage-custom-backgrounds
Agree, I have removed the defaults within explorer and they just come back.- even if you overwrite the default images with a new image with the same name it brings back the one from central server :-(!
Come on MS - not everyone wants these images! Give us the ability to easily remove!
Another vote for making the default images removable.
At least a flexible sorting option for moving the commonly used backgrounds to the top of the list would help. In the default set there will always be some backgrounds a given user will never apply.
Yes, agree. Please provide the opportunity to delete the default stuff.
We have a list of corporate backgrounds (all for internal use, and some for external use only), and aside from "Blur", we don't allow users to use the default ones. It is a major inconvenience for staff to have to scroll through the list just to change the background when they switch from one to another.
It is indeed a bit of an annoyance that you can't remove (or move out of the way) all those default backgrounds.
Agree - surprised it's even an issue that needs to be voted and commented on ... seems obvious to me
I completely agree. I would like to have easier access to my custom backgrounds instead of scrolling past the default backgrounds I will never use. If they cannot be deleted, can they at least be stored in a folder where I don't need to see them?

They will, I have tried :/
I know the backgrounds you upload are in \%APPDATA%\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds\Uploads (for windows systems) or Teams client folder ~/library/application support/Microsoft/Teams/Backgrounds/Uploads (on a Mac).
I think the default images come from a CDN, however, so even if you deleted them locally, I think they would be back the next time you connected to O365.
