Enable gallery view in browser
Gallery view is enabled in the Teams app, and is great, especially since it has been increased.
However, when accessing via a browser, gallery view is not available, only speaker view.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re happy to announce that Large gallery view and Together mode are included in our Dec 2020 Public Preview pack, and will be available to users who opt into Public Preview.
Please see feature details here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-public-preview/now-in-public-preview-together-mode-and-large-gallery-for-web/m-p/1969669#M14
You can learn more about the new Microsoft Teams Public Preview program here: https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreview, and Teams administrators can find documentation to manage which users will see the Public Preview option here: https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreviewAdmin

This should not even be an issue. Gallery view in a browser should be standard. The excuses for not having it appear to be quite lame.

Hi Alex- this is great news. I am a student at college so I think its unlikely our college IT administrator will turn on "public preview" for us
Could you let me know when this functionality may released as standard to all Browser Users ?
Many thanks

when will this be generally available to anyone who is invited to a meeting and joins through a browser because they do not generally use teams?
It is critically important when using web meetings that everyone is treated equally otherwise people become disenfranchised and opt out. -

This shouldn't even be a question. It should be available and a standard.

Yes to gallery view! Would love to see all my co workers while on teams for meetings. Nice when you're working from home, and also distracting to just have screens switching all the time!

gallery view and also the ability to change your background on the app web version would be great. Thanks!

Yes please Microsoft, it's important to us work teams to be able to see each other in gallery view when working from home, helps battle feelings of isolation.

Please make the browser able to do the gallery view. The app keeps freezing and I have to do Teams via the browser.

Teacher here. I need to be able to see all of my students on one LARGE screen, and the items I screen share on a separate screen. As it stands, I cannot see my students while I am doing anything else with the screen. Please add this feature ASAP.

Please enable this. Our enterprise had MFA authentication issues with the Linux app (callback URL opens in default browser, not in built-in webview) and decided to disable it altogether, referring to the web app as an alternative. The lack of gallery view in the web app is a annoying, especially because all other web-based video calling services do offer it.

Needed to have the gallery view while in class. The desktop app doesn't work half of the time so I had to switch to the browser which is so much faster and doesn't freeze my laptop. Please add gallery view on the browser. Thank you.

Yes, absolutely crucial! It's maddening to see the solution as using the rich client instead. The only reason anyone uses a web client is because they cannot use the full client...usually for security reasons. That is NOT a solution...the web client needs to be more in line with the full client. It would be great if you could use it on a mobile device too!
