Speaker attribution in captions
During any Meeting in Teams, it could be great if it provides speaker username along with Captions while scrolling and it will be great if those captions within meeting group as saved as history(ex: char history). so, that it will be easy to recollect discussion happened by reading all captions without voice help& without anybody's help.
Soon we will add the speaker attribution so live captions during meetings will specify who is speaking. You can read more details here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/blog/2020/07/08/reimagining-virtual-collaboration-future-work-learning/.
We’ll let you know as soon as it’s available to the public.

I would like the option to not have each person's name typed each time they speak but instead have each person's captions be in a different colour that matches their tile colour. I would still like their names in the saved history, but for live captions, names may make it a bit noisy.
Thank you for a great feature.

Speaker attribution for live captions will be extremely beneficial for all students during virtual instruction, especially our DHH (deaf or hard-of-hearing) students and educators. So excited this is coming soon!! Thank you for making this happen!
I second the suggestion below for Hard of Hearing users. Please add closed captioning to phone call use. It would be so helpful for people with our challenges.

I would love to have the option of seeing "Live Captions" or "Live speech to text subtitles" during meetings as I have to deal with a lot overseas clients who have very heavy native accent to English and it is very difficult to decode what the client is trying to say in a short span of time. Having live subtitles/captions will save users time in global meetings and make interacting with global counterparts in every enterprise convenient and seamless.
really good idea
Why should we have to vote on this should it not just be a standard
I see that the live captions have been added, but they don't indicate who is saying it - unless you look at them on camera or see their profile pic highlight while they are talking.

Excellent idea, helpful for individuals and demonstrates commitment to supporting all your users.
We need these changes to ensure no one is disadvantage
Live caption can be made more attractive if it notifies the user when their name is called during the discussion. This way user will be more attentive. This will also help for users to know there were needed in the discussions while they were away. A transcript of what was asked/discussed will be useful.

Live captions is a nice feature, but it would be nice if you would be able to see whos talking.
now its just a bunch of words what it captures.
it would be nice if it would look like:
Bill: We can visit this location
Jane: That's a great Idea!
William: Yes, lets do this
