We need the ability to have third-party captions for our meetings - particularly live events. Live captions are not sufficient for large events and require professional captions.
Support for services like Streamtext would be ideal.
We are constantly asked for professional live captions on MS Teams. Please provide a REST API to enable any captioning technology to be integrated. Zoom has not done a good job with this, as the captions are delayed by several seconds. Live captioning needs to be updated very frequently so that it keeps up with the speaker to make it effective for access.
Yes! This is really needed. And support for other languages than English. Like web captioner on Zoom, AI captioning, which makes it better and better the longer you use it, and works for many languages. It is a critical problem in this digital time we live in that so many people can´t use Teams. Many meetings, schools, elderly trying to communicate work, work, school, family thru teams. This is not only people with perfect hearing, focus or English speaking.
I agree with all the below comments. I work with deaf people and automated captions are not good enough. Zoom already enables it so why not Teams?
I would agree. Teams captioning is not always accurate.
This would be great!

We need this. I'm at Iowa State University and we are encouraging use of MS Teams. We would use more if it had this feature.

Support through an API for CART services would make this platform more compliant with Section 508, which is a requirement for selling to the US Federal government and higher ed institutions.

Streamtext and/or a keyboard input direct into Teams.

If Zoom can you can...
