Separate gallery window
Can you make a separate gallery window that can be popped out and put on a separate screen? That way you can see the information being presented and also see the participants in a larger format. You can do this as a presenter but not as a guest.

This would be really helpful to make a call more engaging! Currently, only the person sharing screens has a good view on the other participants.
It could be an option and not mandatory.

I prefer to use Teams for video conferencing since its tied to other things I use in Teams but having the gallery and presentation in the same screen makes both too small. Zoom allows separate windows for gallery and presentation so I am starting to use it more.

Zoom does this. Webex does this. Others probably do this. Teams videoconferencing with shared content feels like nobody thought about it.
Most people have multiple monitors. Even if they are using one monitor, the video gallery should be undockable so the user can move it where it makes sense.
It's surprisingly distracting to have to look at the bottom of the screen to see the faces of the people you're meeting with to discuss shared content. Everyone on the entire presentation is always looking in the wrong place.

It can be frustrating as a presenter, not being able to view the material you're sharing AND your audience at the same time. With an in person meeting, you are able to adjust information delivery by the body language and expressions of your audience. Video conferencing is already less personal. It's even worse when you are unable to see your audience at the same time. Zoom executes this feature properly. C'mon Microsoft!

This feature would be tremendously important for me as well.
If content is being shared, all people are very small (or completely disappear if there are too many participants).
It would be great to see bigger pictures of all people and have the content being shared in a separate windows on a 2nd screen. -

I really need a seating chart. So students show up in the same location every class meeting - even with empty squares if they are absent. I'd like to be able to set up the chart and change it when needed.

This would be especially helpful when viewing department webcasts

It would be so helpful! Otherwise using the Videochat functionality seems kind of pointless.

I miss this feature a lot. I need to see my team in one screen and presented content on the second screen.

This would be great! I'm doing remote usability testing and want to be able to see the remote tester's facial expressions and body language and can't see them with that little window

I agree. When I attended a Skype for Business meeting, I used to view the content being presented on my large monitor and place the gallery on my laptop monitor. That made it possible for me to look into the camera when talking to others on the call, and read the presented content much more easily.
