pop out teams channel
Pop out channel discussions into another window just like Chats.
This feature is just as important as popping out a chat. If I'm working on docs in a Teams channel and I get a chat ping, I have to **LEAVE MY FILE** and go view chat. I can pop the chat out afterwards, but that doesn't help keep me in my collaborative document. It's insanely inefficient.

Why is this not a thing?!?!?!
Microsoft, are you listening????????????
Definitely need this feature
The most obvious functions are always the last thing implemented by MS, if ever. This request is over a year old and cannot be that difficult to implement given that individual Pop Out Chat is already supported.
Perhaps MS intends to sunset the app in favor of Edge where a copied channel can be opened in a second tab.

Why the heck is not a thing still? I'm a part of multiple teams. If I monitor them I miss chat. This is terrible.
This one missing feature makes Teams a step backwards from Skype for Business.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me pop out a team, not just chats.
I am wasting much time no in moving around. We are mandatory using Teams, but not being able to work on multiple windows, really slows me down compared to the past way of working.

Please make multiple windows available. When I'm in one window working if I need information from another app or channel I have to abandon my current window. I understand you can use the back button but that is not optimal. Thank you.
Everything should Pop out!! I waste so much time going back and forth between a teams channel chat and singular chat!!
yes, in dire need of such a functionality as otherwise, when a chat comes in, you're kicked out of the place in the channel you're working in. Quite annoying!

Pop out all the things!

It is sorely, sorely needed. It's impossible to come back to a channel discussion 3 hours later to close a loop if you can't pop it out like a chat. I end up having to write the channel name on a post it to be able to get back to conversations. It's ridiculous!!

How is this not implemented yet, it's obviously a good idea.
As mentioned in the comments in addition to being able to pop out a channel, it would also be nice if you could pop out a specific thread inside a channel.

We need this!!

This would be a wonderful idea. Pop out function would make it so much easier to monitor situations as they arise.

The ability to pop out a channel just like you can do for a chat would be great. This would allow for multiple chats to be happening in different channels for different teams and you wouldn't have to switch between them you can just read them all as they come in. I use multiple desktops on multiple monitors and have one dedicated just to teams. It would be very nice to be able to see the conversations happening in real time in more than one channel/team.
Additionally if I am working in a Wiki (especially for a wiki since there's no "desktop app" for that), a document, or a team notebook within a channel it would be nice to be able to pop it out so I can continue to chat in other channels. (...or to pop those channels out so I can keep the wiki open in the "main teams window".)

I'm in the middle of installing a VM just to monitor a channel discussion. :(
It is difficult to navigate from one team to the other when trying to work within a meeting setting. The pop out function would be appreciated!

This would great aid with multitasking. We have channel per customer and often we're juggling between a few of them.
Actually, it is very irritating that is is not possible to pop out channels, when the same is already possible with chats. What else is a channel than a chat?
This way of thinking during your product planning and implementation is the main reason why MS never had been able to create a real internet browser, collaboration software or operating system! A simple chat application already seems to be too challenging.
(Sorry for this rant, but issues like that happen with every MS product, and my level of frustration is... high :-/ )

Need to be able to pop out a thread in a channel just like we can with a chat.
