Rejoice, as of Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.2879, you can now use Ctrl + Shift + K to raise your hand.

As a screen reader user, this function is essential for me. It would also be helpful if mute and raise hand buttons were next to each other when navigating left and right with the arrow keys. Also, sometimes hard to tell the difference between mute and unmute if you have a hearing impairment while you try to listen to your screen reader on top of people speaking in chat. Microphone off, or Microphone on would be easier to hear.

I have found a workaround for the missing shortcut. I use a game controller and a free tool called joytokey. There you can assign a button for muting (CTRL-SHIFT-M) and another to emulate a left click on the "Raise Hand" Toggle. You can even define a position where to click on the screen when the button is pushed. Having physical buttons made it much easier for my daughter.

I really want a shortcut to raise the hand. The reason I want this is because I use Teams everyday for school so it would be lovely.

Really miss this feature in ms teams for meetings. I prefer using Teams, but Zoom becomes attractive when it offers shortcut key to 'hand up'.

I am a facilitator/mediator and work with visually impaired clients and participants. The visually impaired NEED this short-cut to raise their hand. Right now they have to say "hey" and interrupt the speaker for me to know. This is disruptive. A keyboard shortcut will be extremely helpful for smooth running meetings and make Teams more accessible to those with disabilities.

I couldn't agree more. This HAS to come in a new version. It can't be difficult and will be extremely helpful,

My sister is blind and finds the lack of keyboard shortcuts in this and other Microsoft Programmes (Skype for example) extremely inconvenient and frustrating.
Please ask the development team to sit in a room with blindfolds on, and/or take their mice away, then ask them to hold meetings to find out how poorly developed some of the packages are for those with accessibility needs.
If you want more users, you have to appeal to them by making things easier. Not exclude groups by leaving key features out of the build.Thank you.
