Better spell check
The rudimentary spell check is abysmal. Be great if you could have the option to perform the check before sending and also custom dictionary. Ideally tied to Outlook/Word.

Teams is integrated with Outlook right? Why can't it just share my spellcheck dictionary? Still boggled by this and the inability to add values to a spellcheck dictionary from within Teams.
Desposal is not espousal
Google knew it was Disposal
The spell check is simply terrible. Please improve.
You would think that the inventors of spellcheck would be able to apply it to every app that they ship
In addition to not recognizing most common English contractions, like someone mentioned for "you've", Teams does not recognize other fairly common words like:
Yet, somehow, it does not flag "ain't" as incorrect. Not to mention that the delay between a word being mistyped and the red underline appearing is so long that I am always already on to the next word and have potentially already hit enter and sent the message.
By the way, the spell check on this site is faster and did not complain about any of these words or contractions. Word and Outlook have better spell checkers.
Just... what the heck are you doing here??
Only 7 votes? I being raised by the Florida public education system I sadly depend on spell check. Google's is the best for sure but Outlook's isn't that bad. Teams however, not sure where it comes from but it isn't good enough. I frequently have to cut and paste over to a google search to get the correct spelling of things. Please consider using the office AI for better in-teams spell check. Do it for those of us raised in underfunded public school systems that are controlled by those who wish to keep the masses under educated.
Posted an example below, it should have definitely been able to figure this one out.
Wow, the current spell check doesn't even recognize "you've" as a word. Please improve...I mean, you already have a much better spell check in your other Office applications? Apply it here!
