Keep the Linux Client up to date with the latest features.
We love to use Teams in a multi platform Online School environment .
Stick to version 1.3.005153
3x3 Grid, better more, View
Share single application Window, with passthrough audio
Mouspointer not visible to others when share screen
I'm running Linux as my main OS yet need to keep in contact with my colleagues...these features are a "must"
New version of teams-insiders 1.3.00.25560 just published.
What's new on it?
- Still 2x2 Grid
- No audio sharing
- No Single app Sharing
At least let us share screen with auido, being a musician and having to use ms teams requires us to share sound and right now is just impossible
Buvanesh Kumar commented
Screen sharing is not working with Linux client, the app simply crashes when we turn on sharing.
+1 - 3x3 grid or better (we HAD 3x3 for a while, worked fine but then reverted to 2x2)
+1 - Raise Hands
Being an electron app why is Linux so far behind Windows and Mac, Mac seems to keep up with windows? is it some weird intentional strategy? I don't see why we had 3x3 and it worked fine then someone decided, "oops linux people can't have that" and took it away?????
any feedback from MS would be highly appreciated...

+1 please make sure to implement this asap!!!
+1 Blur Background
+1 Share single application Window, with passthrough audio
Enable single windows sharing, remote control of other user. Extremely slow updates on Linux is rather frustrating.

I need not just the blurred background but the ability to have backgrounds in linux teams please

It is true that this version still has no hands up and no 3x3, but with this version you should get
fixes for high cpu usage after screensharing
red border around shared desktop
cursor while screen sharing is visible to recipients
code necessary for enabling background blur. We are still doing testing around this feature and we will start gradually enable it. There will be no client update needed
Microsoft Teams was last updated on 17 June, It has been months since the client was updated. When are we going to see an update? :(

Please prioritize, this is much needed and we've been too long without.
any plan for linux people?
any plan for linux people?
Almost a year since the release of 1.3.00.16851 for Linux (Debian) but no updates. Believe it or not, some of us rely heavily on and love MS Teams but we also love our Linux systems.

Here's a crazy suggestion: Not only keep it up to date but offer the nightly as well.

Not all of us use a Windows-based computer. Some of us love using Linux for the safety and security. So, how about updating your Linux version of Teams so that it has the same features as the Windows and MacOS versions? Is it really THAT hard since MacOS has similar capabilities as your Windows version?!?
