Ability to add invisible IT/support users in teams
I would like to be able to add an invisible user to meetings, in order to be able to watch and troubleshoot setup problems, without having people in the meeting ask questions about his/her presence. This could be relayed to the participants beforehand (that an admin/IT person might be attending) for security purposes, but him joining/leaving would rather not interrupt the meeting.

Agreed. I am trying to get our organization to use Teams more and email/file folders less, which I'm much better able to do if I can help set-up resources so people can start to see what Teams can do. I only want access to group/collective spaces (not private chats) so I can help build them out if I see an opportunity to do so, but people are going to wonder why I'm "hanging out" in a space for their department.
