Alternate Host for Meetings Created in teams
In many of the online meeting systems when you create a new meeting you can provide an alternative host for the meeting so in the case you cannot attend another individual (that has a license) can run and host the meeting which means allowing guests into the meeting. This should be an option you can set per meeting or an option where you can designate a permanent alternative host.
Of course they are not responding on this. Switching to Zoom.

Edited - May not need it for internal meetings. Invite the "Alt Host" as part of the original invite and they can be the presenter and do all that the Organizer can. See the second table on this page:
You won't be able to select someone from a different org as a presenter.
Use it weekly, agreed this feature is needed sooner than others.
Here is another great user story here for the same need.
MS Team. This is an important feature. Your feedback on this would be helpful.
This would be a really really helpful feature.
Was this ever addressed? I have not found a way to add someone as an alternative host.

Is there an answer here? I've been spending too much time researching this versus the convenience of using another hosting service like Zoom.
Guess there is no response from MS Teams group.

This is really important. there should be an option of alternate meeting host or better still ability to reassign host.
