Manually hide / display the horizontal control bar
Would you please add a function to manually hide / display the horizontal control bar.
I am aware if you don't move your mouse the control bar hides however there are many occasions during a meeting that a user has to and more often than not the control bar obstructs what the user is required to see.
I was a guest presenter for a workshop, but once I shared my screen and had control, I could not see the control bar at all to see if people raised hands or chatted a question. My point of contact had to keep sending me texts on my phone so I could call on people. That was annoying for all of us!
We many of us still doing virtual work, there should be a hide/unhide option, and we should be able to reposition the bar to the side or a second screen.
The bar should have a hide/unhide
There is a fix for this, it's called Zoom. If you Google this issue you can see that is is the biggest complaint about Teams and some people have put off adoption of Teams because of this. After all of this time it is obvious MS doesn't give a dam about the users or the success of Teams. Pay for Zoom, it's well worth your sanity.
The control bar behavior is frustrating and strange.
Why can't we manually hide it? Why can't we at least move it? Why does it seem to disappear and appear someone haphazardly? For instance, right now I finally got it to hide, but cannot get it to come back for some strange reason.
Please do this. I also find that the bar hides important information (such as the name of the participant centre bottom), so which is not possible to read or click on because as soon as you move the cursor to click on them the bar hides their name (and popup options) again!

PLEASE! I usually keep the text chat open while watching presentations, and the control bar hides stuff all of the darn time.
I often find that content is annoyingly covered by the control bar, and any cursor movement at all (even if outside of the Teams window) make it show up. It also takes too long for the control bar to hide/disappear when the cursor stops moving.
It would be extremely beneficial to be able to hide/un-hide the bar.

The Teams control bar being hard-coded and immovable in the middle of the screen makes zero sense for an application that has any consideration of sharing video or screen content. It covers up an unacceptable amount of the shared content.
At a minimum it should be movable; ideally it should be able to be minimized.

I really hate it! It is a big problem because I can’t see properly videos, people and presentations!
At a minimum let us move it around on the screen. Thanks!!!

echo all the other comments - very frustrating
I am surprised this is not a bigger ask. I cannot fully see what is being presented with this. I would like it to be able to move it and make it disappear.
Couldn't the control bar doc (sleep) on lower toolbar? Or, Control Bar pops up when you hover over the bottom left of the screen. Unfortunately, this might be an issue during software training where mouse clicks are needed.

Allow it to be dragged to another screen / location so that it is out of the way or minimize it.
Even when I move the mouse off the teams window and don't touch it for 60 seconds, the control bar keeps showing. Really annoying on a text-heavy slide where it's completely blocking content.
Many of us have this issue also. We just want to hide the control bar and focus on the video.
