Embed a Teams Public Live Event - So attendees can choose to join through the app, or just view it through an iFrame embed
It would be great if it was possible to embed a Teams Public Live Event through an iframe link on another website somewhere.
Based on some very basic research I think there are other methods to embed live stream video on a website, none of which I like so far... (I can't guarantee everything on this list is accurate, I have to double check this myself...)
Youtube live --> but you supposedly have to monetize add sense (which I don't want to do)
Facebook live --> but you have to start a video on a public page in order to access the embed option. I want to do private events so this won't work
Vimeo with the premium plan--> which is $75 a month and you need to buy a year at a time... so $900 to gain access to this feature
dacast --> $39 for the intro plan and you need to buy a year at a time... so $468 to gain access to embedding
crowdcast.io --> $29 per month starter price but you only get 50 attendees and pay extra for each additional one and at the starter rate you only get 2 hours and even the highest package only goes up to 6 hours (I need 12 hours)
I'm sure there are several others...
I would REALLY PREFER to do this with Teams though. I'm a huge Microsoft fan and use several of the online apps. I only fear if they make this it would somehow require viewers to log in to see the video even if the permissions were totally opened up to the public (please don't do this Microsoft!).
If anyone knows any competitor software that does this, please share here so we can all go use that.
I really need this feature.
Solves a huge issue for me; securing live events to external customers of a website that have already authenticated.
If you can reach the page you can watch the event.
Yeah. We have an event coming up in March, and I was hoping the embedding of a Teams Live event was a thing by now. We run some subscriber-only events and some ticketed events, and it would be nice to be able to host and display them within our own pages.

This would be fantastic for externally accessible events. No frills, just go to a page and watch the event.
I love this idea; we have a use case coming up in December that would leverage this.

This is something that my team is looking for. There are a number of uses for this and would get us out of zoom and using teams exclusively if it were available.
We absolutely need this to create branded landing pages where participants can access additional content related to the presentation subject.
It would be easier for our entire team to join the event through an iFrame embed on our Intranet. Many employees in our subsidiaries are unable to join the sessions due to infrastructure integration and security issues, and have to be sent a recording.

This would solve a lot of issues for us. It would allow us to add other iframes with external content, such as third-party captions.
It would be great if live events for mobile didn't make you download the teams app to watch is as an attendee
This would be game changing for us to enable staff to produce live events that require zero steps to join. We could enable staff to host live events with multiple participants inside and outside our organization.
