The VDI install for Teams should be able to update without a reinstall
The VDI install should be able to update without us having to uninstall it and then install the new version. However you want to do that - would be nice if you used Windows Update and WSUS, but if you want it to be some new way then whatever. But I find it inconsistent that in 2020 I have to uninstall a Microsoft product to install a minor subversion of the same product.
I have been having nothing but problems trying to upgrade this product. The uninstall from Programs and Features doesn't work, the registry entry for uninstall doesn't work, and the recommended MSIEXEC command line has not been working for me very consistently either. You guys dropped a update.exe in there that we cannot use, and a folder structure that looks like there should be a way to update without reinstalling (since there is a \current folder etc) .. help us IT guys out here. Microsoft products used to be so straight forward - and updates were standardized. There are no standards anymore.
