Allow Teams Admins to restrict Private Channel creation to only Team Onwers
As Teams Administrator, we are only able to enable or disable Private channel creation globally through Teams Admin Center. To manage private channels better, we would like to restrict this ability to only Team Owners. Ideally there should be additional options in Teams Policy to select who can create Private channels (Team Owners, Team Owners and Team Members). If Team Owners selected, Team owners should not be able to override this at the Team level to allow members to create the Private Channels. If Team Owners and Team Members, it should work as usual. Also, for new Teams, Private Channel creation permissions should be only restricted to Team Owners. Features like Private Channels should not be available by default to everyone.
You should be able to manage your users with private channel creation ability by following the following :
"By default, any team owner or team member can create a private channel. Guests can't create them. The ability to create private channels can be managed at the team level and at the organization level. Use policies to control which users in your organization are allowed to create private channels. Once you've set the policies, team owners can turn off or turn on the ability for members to create private channels in the Settings tab for a team."
