Looking for a way to have multiple tabs on teams. If i have a file open and need to access another file, or another channel/team you have to close the file but it would be good to be able to have multiple tabs open just like how you can have multiple file explorers open, multiple browser pages etc. Work around for now is the teams app open plus the web browser version but then you get multiple notifications popups and noises which is frustrating

This would be very much appreciated!!
Yes this would be a huge improvement

This would be a very desirable feature, particularly when viewing items in "Files" section for a team, while needing to refer back to a specific chat thread.
Yep, I would love to have this functionality!
Agree that a tabbed interface is necessary.
My use case is attending a Teams meeting, and still being able to use the main Teams app. I'm limited to a single laptop screen, so rearranging app windows to switch between the meeting I'm currently on, and the main Teams app is frustrating.
Also, this popup "Are you still here?" should stop popping just because I opened Teams on a second tab. It's silly and annoying.
totally agree , really need multiple tabs .
if you are in a file on one team and you then have a meeting, the file closes, which in my case the file i would want to be going straight back to after the meeting .
i don't want to have to go through the process of having to re locate and re open the file i was previously working on.
pop out box would be great . an option to switch on this feature or turn off.
just a display of what you have open - total - location?
I use Teams to learn and this feature is really needed when working on a file and simultaneously having to change to another doc without it being too rigorous and complicated to deal with.
the ability to open multiple teams apps as well would be good to allow working over multiple tenancies / customers
Yup, possibly as a pop-out box so we can move it onto another monitor, whilst working within the teams environment on another
