Prevent users from joining meeting after it has ended
After a meeting has ended, we'd like the ability for hosts to "delete" or "lock" their meetings so participants cannot join the meeting again once it has ended.

Yes please! Children are trying to re-join finished meetings sometimes the day after they have finished which we absolutely do not want!

Oh yes, this will definitely be useful as safeguarding is a teacher priority.

YES PLEASE! The younger students don't understand the concept of leaving a meeting so this would be great.

once meeting is finished user should not be able to join that meeting.

Absolutely! I make a channel for my meetings currently and delete the channel after the meeting, but having the option to end the meeting for all would be great. A waiting room would also be great. I often have students join the meeting before I get there. It's not safe for kids to be able to do this!

Vital for Teams when virtual learning as children are logging back into cancelled lessons and this is a safeguarding issue and promotes cyber bullying!

We are desperate for this feature. Please prioritize this for Teams for Education.

This is critical for education for safety and usability reasons! I had figured that when "End meeting" was selected that the meeting ended and locked. Turns out that everyone can just simply go right back into it. So then I thought if the meeting was cancelled then surely it would be dead... nope, everyone in the channel still has the meeting showing and although it shows as cancelled it is still completely functional. This needs to be addressed the same as Google has done with Meets! We don't want to use a lobby that we constantly have to keep an eye on. We need to have a meeting that does what it says!

Please prioritise this, it causes so many issues when people see a "somebody's joined a meeting" pop up. Thanks

PLEASE school districts needs this. Students join after the meeting has ended and the chats easily spiral out of control. We need it NOW.

Please enable this feature that once a meeting ends then it automatically blocks people from rejoining

The link provided in outlook should be disabled as well once the meeting has ended or have been cancelled to prevent users from joining again.

As a middle school teacher ESE teacher who is using Teams it is a miracle that in 6months I have gotten 75% of my inclusion & resource 12-14 yr old students from not knowing how to use email last February to being able to get on Teams to the correct channel and Join.
But this past TUESDAY was a nightmare.
As my entire district is stuck in between **** and a hard place of the pandemic- remote learning on this scale does not really allow for substitutes. I had a cold (yes just a cold) but was on that one horrible day of a cold where I just needed rest and decided to take a sick day and cancel my meetings in Teams - my students (not the greatest of readers and most are ESOL) joined every single meeting that I had posted in the last 2 weeks. As one kid was sitting in the lobby of one, 3 were sitting in the lobby of the other. Then all the other kids were posting away trying tell me to let them in. I spent my “sick day” trying to help, but not getting sucked back in to just ending up holding class in my bathrobe sounding like death’s door.
My admin finally said to shut off all my devices and go to bed. There was nothing we could do. Really?
This is not only a problem for students on a day like this, but I have 11yr sixth graders who forget that in middle school classes and teachers change on a block schedule- so every morning that I have my 7th grader Team, I see that 3-4 lost 6th graders are waiting in the lobby of yesterday’s class.
Again kids aren’t the greatest at reading & following directions- they learning those life lessons at this age, but specifically my students have very low reading levels.
I really feel like this is a simple fix to close off and lock an ended/cancelled meeting and my former life as an Office Manager cannot wrap my head around why a meeting link that has ended, is not set to recurring or has been cancelled needs to still be JOINABLE?!
Our district was forced to used Teams (I actually really like it!) after an in the news meltdown with another LMS, but then my school just switched to new devices that do not allow Zoom. I have been a TEAMs cheerleader since last March, but on this scale never had this many students trying to rejoin meetings over and over again. The teachers that can’t use Zoom anymore are FURIOUS with this flaw in Teams. I cannot defend it.
Please fix this issue.
