organize speed dial groups
ABILITY TO ORGAZINE THE SPEED DIAL GROUPS sort
Is it me or has the ability to create speed dial groups also disappeared with the interface update?
I be exact with Jim. I have the same suggestions.
Speed Dial contacts bigger and to sort and the call History smaller. The old version was really better.
And the call history don't work good. A lot of numbers were deleted and I can't see who was calling in the past.
I'm on the switchboard I with this new teams version I can't work !!!
Suggestion for the new Calls layout - allow users to expand the Speed Dial pane to view more of the Speed Dial contacts and less of the call History pane if desired. I use the Speed Dial groups as a way to group my more frequently contacted team members and view their presence status at a glance. This way I can see their name/face/presence and one-click call or chat if they're available. The new layout makes this more difficult as I now have to expand each Speed Dial group and scroll to view a given contact.

This request is even more important with the recent changes to the Calls view. The 10-key dialpad now takes up the left column, history is given far too much real-estate in the middle, and Speed-dial gets a small column on the right with no ability to switch from tile to list view or change the sorting (whatever the sorting is.... by when added?)
As one person said earlier, this seems so simple. Every other phone system has some way to accomplish this. What I need is a GLOBAL contact list for any user to dial up one of our 400 retail outlets. These phone numbers need to be available to all Business Voice users. This would have been a deal breaker had we know Business Voice could NOT do this.
Contacts seem very poorly put together. There is speed dial with groups, but can't order, there is contacts, without groups, and can't change order, then there is contacts in chat that is with groups but can't order. In chats, what is the purpose of the group if you can't create a chat on the group with all the groups members. Not sure how much focus group work has gone into how people work with collab products like this.

Please reply to this request and tell us when this is planned to be completed. It is a simple (or should be) implementation.

Also easy transfer to contacts and speeddials should be possible

I'd like to be able to organize the speed dial groups in the order I need for them to be in. Is this possible?

Now my latest Microsoft Teams update complete got rid of the groupings. I had over 150 contacts organized into 12 different groups- it's really frustrating to have that type of feature taken away, especially without any knowledge that it would happen.

Users have expressed desire to filter and sort speed dials, for example:
sort by presence to see available users at top
create speed dial groupings
filter for speed dials
drag and drop speed dial entries to organize manually

We are getting rid of Skype in our office and I just went to organize my contacts in Teams to mirror my contacts in Skype, what a nightmare! I can't easily create groups and order them the way I need to. I tried to rename with numbers so that would sort them, that didn't work! There has to be an easier way to create a sorted and organized contact list that is not just in speed dial, I want easy access to chat with folks also. Possibly add a speed chat button to the speed dial page (plus better organizing capabilities)?

Agree, the speed dial groups give a good overview of your preferred contacts Online/offline/meeting/ etc
But I need to be able to organize them instead of delete them and create them all over in the desired direction
Fully agree, ability to organize the speed dial groups a sort function is necessary
Agreed - I want a particular to always show up at the top.
Obviously a known and frustrating problem and how easy is it to add drag and drop feature within a group and to move the full group to an order you want to see. The reshuffle is beyond frustrating!!!!!

I don't think this needs complicated IT solution. Please add the function ASAP.
My most frequent contact speed dial group sometimes goes to the bottom, so there's no meaning in "Speed dial" when I scroll down to search for the group.
You did not really expect anything logical and user friendly from Microsoft did you?
Completely agree with Adam C - you could change the order, move contacts between groups etc within S4B and it's very frustrating in Teams to not have any of those abilities, in particular the sorting.
At the very least the groups should be listed alphabetically (with Speed Dial and Delegates at the top) and they are not even that!
I fully agree, we need possibility to organize in a better way.
