Allow Me to Set Video Quality
During meeting calls where my internet is running slow, I'd like to lower the video resolution / quality in order to help better stream audio. Right now, there's no ability to throttle video quality.

This option is a must for those working remote temporarily on hotspots or connections that have a data cap.

Deberían ofrecerse diferentes tipos de calidad en las grabaciones, esto facilita la visualización de los usuarios que carecen de buen ancho de banda. Sugiero que seamos más inclusivos.

If google can do it with YouTube and literally any network streaming service can accommodate this, then why can't Microsoft?

When using TEAMS to teach, the students don't need high resolution video of my face or high resolution video from vimeo or youtube or bbc.co.uk - they need 240 or 360 that flows rather than 1080 that glitches and stutters

Comcast/Xfinity is implementing monthly bandwidth caps and introducing charges for overages. I'm on MS Teams all day and my outbound bandwidth consistently uses 3.0 Mbps while on a video/sharing call. I need to be able to downgrade my video quality to use less bandwidth and help avoid my home internet charges.

i don't know if you can copy all zoom features, just work like a copy cat at this stage.
Your teams video conference function is very very basic.. -

I'm reading this is needed for reducing carbon footprint as well as handling low bandwidth.

I have no idea why this doesn't already exist. Also would be great if Teams could be configured to supress incoming video also. Need a low bandwidth mode...getting tired of having to frantically switch to cell phone when bandwidth is limited.

PLEASE allow the option to downgrade video quality! I either have bandwidth issues or my SurfacePro overheats if I am on video all day for meetings and will randomly shut down. Plus, some days I would just rather look fuzzy - I don't need everyone seeing every wrinkle!!! Thanks.

Must have, I have a remote location and options are limited to very slow DSL or cell phone data.

I work for a tech company out of state, and I live in a rural area. I have a Satellite connection and need a standard quality video connection - not HD.

My Macbook seems to overheat using video calls resulting in fan running full throttle.
Setting lower camera quality I expect to mitigate this issue. -

I'm interested in this feature to be able to throttle CPU power as Teams gobbles up processor while giving more video quality than is required.

Control over video quality is what we need. Please give it to us :-)

THey use to have the option to lower the quality! I would lower it so I could watch past lectures recordings at faster speeds, then up the quality only when I had to see an image in detail. And now I have no other option then to watch them in normal speed with tons of lag cause my internet cant handle the high quality.

Really need this option. Some of us still have a data cap amd this program eats it up at a horrie rate. Ridiculous.
